Technical Support / Settling smartcoins
« on: May 16, 2018, 06:46:53 am »
I am a bit confused on this topic, when I settle smartcoins does it settle on the "Settlement price" or the "Feed price"? The reason I am asking this is because when I hover over both the Settlement Price or the Feed Price in a market page it says the exact same thing "This is the price at which settle orders will execute", so what I want to know is what price exactly will settle orders execute for smartcoin holders and why does there have to be two different prices with apparently the same purpose?
Thanks in advance.

So the settlement option means bitGold holders did not lose any money correct? And when do you think I will be able to borrow bitGold again?

3
Does this mean holders of bitGold had their bitGold converted to BTS forcefully?

Hello and thanks for anyone in advance who can help me out with this problem.
When attempting to borrow bitGold into existence, I get the error message "Failed to broadcast the transaction:
Assert Exception: !_bitasset_data->has_settlement():"
Does anyone know why I get this message?

 :-[ No luck, is there an older version to the Windows wallet that I can use? No market page ever loads from any currency pair.

Where is the force refresh button? I do remind you that this is not a web wallet that I am using, it is the actual wallet for Windows.

Technical Support / Wallet stuck on "Exchange"

I am a new user to Bitshares so please cut me some Newbie slack.
I have the Windows wallet, and when I am in the "Featured" markets I click on an Asset pair. However, it then proceeds to take me to the "Exchange" tab to where if I'm lucky 3% of the time the market page loads quickly and the rest 97% it almost always never loads. I have the wallet set up on "Automatic switching" ON so I assume the wallet is trying to find the most efficient node which is obviously not the case for me, even if I hand pick a node it still only rarely works. I even thought it was just a personal computer or a windows thing, however the online wallet from wallet.bitshares.org also does not load the market page of a currency pair with the same luck. I will not use the openledger.info wallet since I am trying to remain as decentralized as possible by using the actual wallet and not an online version. If anyone knows how to fix thank you in advanced, this so far has been the only obstacle in my Bitshares experience.
