The first project of the new stage of WoodShares Project is the Entrepreneurship COCHUA ALTERNATIVE FOODS | Alternative Food for a Healthy Future, which is already in development. Cochua Alternative Foods is a project oriented to the Design and Development of Alternative Food Lines. The first lines of products are foods based on crickets for human consumption.

You can find more information at:

The crickets used to make Cochua products are raised on farm under controlled conditions. It is currently in the phase of increase of breeding stock to achieve the required population and to offer a stable level of production on a commercial scale.

COCHUA will soon be available in BitShares.

The New Stage:

Since the initial proposal to date, we have been actively working on the WoodShares Project with the aim of making it evolve in such a way that it becomes an innovative model in terms of application and implementation of real use cases of Blockchain Technologies and the BitShares Protocol, generating true productive, autonomous and decentralized communities for the benefit of all the members of their communities and their environments.

The new approach then defines WoodShares:

WoodShares is an Autonomous and Decentralized Digital Community that lives in the BitShares Blockchain dedicated to the Incubation of High Impact Productive Projects with a Green and Social focus.

In a more elaborate way, WoodShares is defined as a DAC that will have, when required, one or more figures of formal representation in the physical world that will allow legal and contractual interaction with individuals and companies, through the implementation of the different available figures, according to the specific needs of each project and stage. (Eg Foundation, Association, Cooperative, Company, etc.).

Brief history:

The WoodShares Project was born in Colombia in 2014 as an initiative to develop a virtual asset that was backed by a physical asset, for which commercial timberlands were thought as their underlying value.

The project in general liked very much for the novelty in the use of blockchain technologies in addition to its social and environmental approach; however, it did not have the expected traction, which is attributed to several factors such as:

1 - Lack of financial education for investment in long-term projects;
2 - Profitability possibilities completely opaque by Altcoins (including scamcoins and shitcoins) that experienced extremely high value increases in a matter of weeks, days and even hours.
3 - Lack of focus on the community and working together.
4 - Complexity in the proposed business model.
5 - Limited technological tools available for the implementation of the proposed DAC model.
6 - Very limited resources to guarantee the initial deployment of the project.
7 - Great lack of knowledge of blockchain technologies, their capabilities and potential.

A transfer is an "operation". You can bundle many operations into a single transaction, however, you still need to pay the transfer fee for every single operation. To construct such a transaction, do you prefer to use python, JS or rather talk to the cli_wallet API?

Hello Xeroc. We will have the same need to send many BTS, UIA and others to several users. Could you help me to find more info about how to do that? I will appreciate that.

With cli_wallet API you mean using the BitShares wallet?

Thanks a lot.
I recommend you look into pybitshares.com
Here is a demo transfer:
http://docs.pybitshares.com/en/latest/#unlock-the-wallet-for-a-transfer

Thanks Xeroc. I will review that demo.

I recently downloaded the BTS wallet client on Win 10 on a new machine, and restored using my .bin file and then set a password. When I regained access to my main account, I checked and saw many, but not all of my sub-accounts. To my understanding, all of these sub-accounts have their keys derived from the brainkey in the main account. Is the .bin file my brainkey?

Later on, without doing anything differently, I suddenly see some of the missing accounts, but then some of the accounts I saw earlier had gone.

Any idea what causes this, and what I can do to fix it?

 Hello theSeanster

Let me bother you with one question. When you talk about sub account are you meaning the accounts that a Life Member User pay for? Or are they anything else?
Thanks.

1 - Falta de educación financiera para la inversión en proyectos a largo plazo;
