Getting terrible cpm on 290.... ~450 :( :(
This is really strange (if you mean R9 290), 7870 yields 620-630. Any chance you have left your memory downclocked to the floor after mining bitcoin? :)

Yes, R9. I am using my cgminer settings i.e. 1000/1500.......something is wrong. My 7850s are doing around ~250.

Hi I have two Gigabyte AMD 7970 GPU and the issue I am having is that it will mine for a few hours and then activity for the GPU's on the AMD VISION Engine Control Center goes down to 0%. When it is mining activity is 99%. Then I look over at the command prompt to see if it shows any sort of error and it doesn't show any sort of error

It just shows what the last share was like the hpm and at what time.

Is anyone having this issue or have any idea what is going on? Also clock settings for GPUs are 975 and 1255 for memory.
I'd suspect card hanging due to overheat here.

It was off for 7 hours while I slept and the mining program was open it just wasn't mining. Shouldn't it start back up on its own after 7 hours of "cooling?"

I went in and manually closed the mining program and restarted it again. It just gets really annoying because I have to keep doing this every few hours.

Any recommendation as to what can be done to stop this? Thanks for your response!!

Have you tried registry fix? My 7970s and 7850s were behaving same.

is the windows miner "stable"?  I've been getting a crash after about 5mins or so.  Even after applying the registry fix.

windows 8.1
AMD 7970

if that helps at all lol
What error message do you get, if any? Registry fix seems to help in most cases, did you reboot after applying it?

the only error message is the "amd stopped working but recovered" message.  However I did not restart after applying registry fix.  I'm at wrk now so I won't be able to test until I get home but I'll let you know!  Thanks for quick response!

You need to Restart your system after applying registry fix.

Remove URL from batch file. It will work.

Just:

Sooner or later altcoin GPU miners will point their rigs towards MMC I think, which in turn will increase difficulty and reduce profitability.

@reorder

Why its detecting only 3GB on 290?

Code: [Select]
MC2Hasher:0 initialized on device: Hawaii
type: 4, vendor: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.   , mem: 322122

For windows, I think this might help with crashes: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/gg487368.aspx#E2

Or, in more human language, explained here: http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654624706695152/

Would anybody test that and tell us if it has helped?

I am having same driver crash problems on my 2 rigs. Both are on 12.8. Third rig with 290 working without any driver crash issues.

I tried following on one of rigs with 12.8 drivers:

1) Uninstalled all AMD software
2) Installed 13.9
3) Miner worked all right, so I though lets install SDK now (2.9) -------- > Started miner, only to find out that same driver problem.
4) Uninstalled SDK 2.9 and did system Rest.
5) Started miner again.

Its been over 12 minutes and so far miner is working good. Will wait an hour to try same on other rig with 12.8 drivers.

Can others try it?
In Windows, you don't need SDK actually unless you develop OpenCL apps. Catalyst installs all bits required to run them.

Yes, I just realized :) It's working good so far.

System crashed once, not video drivers. I have noticed that MMC GPU miner takes a lot of load as compared to cgminer, so I reverted all clock/memory settings to stock. No system/video crash for over 30 minutes now.

do you have set the  limit of connects from one wallet address or an ip address. i have over 100 computers, use win7 32bit,a lot of computers allways disconnect from our poor. diappered as i shoud  ned Authenticate, and should wait for 10 Second

Win32? Which miner are you using? MMCPool has x64 miner only.
