So anyone care to comment on what this is all about?

Python is significantly slower than C.  Buyer beware.  Personally i would wait for a C implementation than buy a python one.
Sorry, but so what? You do not need ultra performance to send 10-20 packets of data/sec over network :) Most pools are running python, for that matter.

Anyway, sold.

Price? )))

So how about some actually useful information regrading the GPU miner then?

One rig is insignificant.  Thousands would make a small impact. ??????????

i raise you a farm, 700 x 7950

Exactly, and there are many farms out there of this size, just look at some of the top users on LTC pools.

So no one has any idea who made it or if it's actually there/where it is?

6
Getting the same invalid merkleroot errors with both the official .1d client and the updated optimized clients as well. This is extremely irritating

EDIT: hmm, seems to have stopped happening now. Dunno wtf that was about

7
Getting invalid merkleroot errors with the new version (0.1d)

Tha fuck

Please help

Where and how do you install and compile the latest miner in linux?

Thanks

Any chance anyone has the full download of the AMD and intel versions?

10
Does somebody have the AMD versions of the optimized miner?
I made a mistake and lost my one...

I'm really hoping for this as well.

It's this one here:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jvp4wwek8jpohj7/RlW6hzYqTz

It's optimised to your CPU (I'm assuming it does some instruction stuff above normal) and comes in 8M-1024M flavours for Windows, and 8M-2048MB flavours for linux it seems.

On my machine (Core-i7 (no AVX)) I get ~98Col/min with Tydus on 4096M but this one on 1024 gives me 140col/min.

The linux one run on one of Azure's virtuals (4 thread 1024M) gets 52, whereas Tydus' linux-port was only giving me ~35.

can someone post mirror please?

Here you go:

I've only got the one I downloaded to begin with (Core i7, no AVX) which contains multiple binaries based on memory footprint per thread.

http://www.filedropper.com/jhprotominer-yvg1900-m7c-win64-corei7

If you're not on a recent (ish) Core-i architecture this probably won't work / be useful for you.

Only got it up on my laptop so far. Working on getting the VPS's up.

i7 3630QM @ 2.4 GHz:

110 collisions/min : jhProtominer 0.1c -t 8 -m512

163 collisions/min : Win64-corei7-512M -t 8

Awesome, thanks! Getting an additional 50 cpm :)

Additional tests:

Found a link to a new 'optimised' (by CPU) miner on YPool based on jhProtominer.

Available here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/jvp4wwek8jpohj7/RlW6hzYqTz
EDIT: Fixed the link, I gave the wrong one. (There was an extraneous 'p' on the end)

I found my Core i7 went from a levelled 98c/min (after a few hours) to 133c/min with the 'Corei7' optimised version (note: no AVX)

Azure miners didn't see much of a change (though all windows miners are limited to a max of 1024MB of RAM usage instead of Tydus' 4096MB)

Link disabled. can someone up it to mediafire or something?

General Discussion / Re: Coingrounds PTS Exchange - trading back up!
« on: November 17, 2013, 08:27:57 pm »
https://www.coingrounds.com/orders_pts is still definitely up! We've got the best volume+support combination out there so far.

Haven't had any issues with it thusfar (though my orders have been pretty tiny) keep up the great work :)
