MemoryCoin / MemoryCoin on reddit
« on: April 13, 2014, 04:36:51 pm »
I don't know who's responsible with reddit but... as the first merchant accepting MemoryCoin (and no support yet), I think I have the right to criticise. Have a look at reddit page once more and please update it responsibly.

MemoryCoin / What's the latest version of MemoryCoin wallet?
« on: April 12, 2014, 08:42:40 am »
I think this should be clearly stated on the homepage - MemoryCoin.org
I'm not sure which version I'm still using or which version I'm downloading from the website.

MemoryCoin / CoinPayments.net Shutdown
« on: March 08, 2014, 06:27:36 am »
This is the official announcement from Coinpayments:

Quote
It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the closure of CoinPayments.net. FinCEN has ruled that Bitcoin is in their purview which would make us a money transmitter. We simply do not have the resources to register with FinCEN and most of the 50 states as a MSB and comply with all of the AML/KYC laws (and no realistic way to raise the funds to do so.)

The shutdown will happen in 3 stages:
1. We will stop accepting new user registrations effective immediately.
2. We will stop processing new transactions at 11:59:59 PM EST on March 24, 2014 (transactions already in progress at that time will be completed).
3. The website will otherwise remain operational until 11:59:59 PM EST on March 31st, 2014 when it will be shut down.

Any refunds due must be requested by the end of March 31st, 2014 and any funds held in your account withdrawn. Keeping the website open for a week from the last new transaction should give everyone ample time to wrap up their affairs in the site.

We extend our sincerest apologies to you and everyone else who has relied on CoinPayments for over 7 months,
MrData & pr0d1gy
CoinPayments.net

It seems we will have only salih's automated OpenCart payment processor for MemoryCoin but I think most of the merchants will discontinue supporting the coin just because they have been using WooCommerce. I kindly request from salih or any other members to implement the payment processor plugin for Wordpress+WooCommerce.

MemoryCoin / Current status of translations on MemoryCoin.org
« on: March 02, 2014, 07:39:08 am »
I don't know who is responsible with the site right now but what's the current status of translations of MemoryCoin.org ?
I had uploaded all Turkish translations to the site before the new template. But now it seems most of it are gone. Hopefully, I have backups but it's somewhat frustrating to do the same work from scratch. So please restore from your backups of my translations or let me know if I have to.

I'm losing confidence to MemoryCoin. The saddest thing is noone from this community supported its own merchant but that merchant sold its products with another coin. Coaex sold 0 amount of gold to MemoryCoin members in January from the start of its launch - even with escrow service. This was utterly the worst thing I've ever done in my life.
I was expecting at least a decent feedback for the work done (good, bad, not secure, etc). Yesterday, I sold a decent amount of gold via bitcointhrift in an hour after I post the auction. (and I felt that Coaex daily volume can easily past MemoryCoin daily volume.) Cryptothrift is an auction site with escrow service. I may or may not be scammed, even though the buyer looks legit, I don't know and I don't care the money I might lost as I will succeed in the long term. At least, someone recognized the effort and made an offer. From what I get from this community is always negative thoughts at first sight. It was first IsaacGoldbourne (we don't know where he/she is now), then Max, then itsik etc.. I wonder who'll be next, probably Isaac's ghost..
So what do you guys really do? You are losing your only merchant. Sadly, we will de-list MemoryCoin, soon. It seems so.
Don't think this as a threat - I'm not saying "We will delist MemoryCoin if you don't buy from us." I'm not forcing anyone to buy. could be bullshit.
I thought about this much and I'm already tired. Maybe much tired in recent days.
As you may notice, I change my mind too often. In my life, I took almost every decision very fast. Cut the dead arm, followed the right path.
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe it is too early but in a fast paced world and even in a fast paced cryptocoin world, I have to do that. I'm still unsure.
I may continue working for a little while. However, I have already contributed to this community but didn't get more than I give (I mean both materially and morally). That's the main reason why I'm pulling out.
In Feb, I will be mostly away - just run the shop with BTC and MMC still or maybe with more coins, add some products, will arrange some meetings with emre and salih face to face (buradan duyurayım). Will finish turkish translation in the earliest day - probably this week and will not work or post for the community for a couple of weeks.

edit: importprivkey [secretkey] is not working either. Deleted all the blockchain files, having a clean install like I do in every new release!

« on: January 07, 2014, 04:28:52 pm »

CMO Vote Address: MVTEcmoa78Tg5gRHzfjk5y5eaBxzP6GEYQ (my voting address changed, please update in MemoryCoin.org)
Please send 0.00000001 MMC to vote for me as your new CMO!

As a co-member of CSO team, I decided to apply for CMO position today. For those who don't know me yet, let me introduce myself briefly.
I'm Serter, 31 years old guy from Istanbul, Turkey. I've been working as a freelance translator in various online translation communities since 2008. Most of my projects are tech and finance related. I have customers from all around the world including
anyoption (binary options trading platform) - Weekly Financial Reports, Marketing
Payoneer (payment processor) - Customer Support Tickets
Mousehunt (online game) - 90% of game interface
Loadout (online game) - 30% of game interface
and more..
Translated more than 300.000 words in 5 years and nowadays I'm translating MemoryCoin.org into Turkish (fully translated as of now) and supporting CSO team.
Moreover, I'm working as an independent lead auditor/technical expert in Quality Management Systems, namely ISO 9001:2008 and FSC. My education is engineering based on wood industry.

What I've Done So Far

- Coaex - The first MemoryCoin merchant, a gold store where you can buy gold bars with MemoryCoin (Read announcement thread here : https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2189.0)
- Agreed with CoinPayments.net for MemoryCoin to be listed on their supported coins. MemoryCoin has now an automated payment gateway!
- Translated MemoryCoin.org full website into Turkish including pages, posts, links, etc.

To Do List

- Advanced MemoryCoin Payment Gateway which has different rules (low/high/last/bid/ask/avg/w-avg and multiplier/divider) for merchants to choose from
- MemoryCoin Merchandise (mugs, keychains, apparel such as tshirts & hoodies, stickers, various objects to be produced in 3D printers, laser engraved wooden products, etc.)
- Improving visual quality of MemoryCoin.org (if applicable - else a new blog site) - using Avada Wordpress theme with WPML support, Logo & Banner contests
- Supporting localization of MemoryCoin with professional human translators - over 48 languages!
- and most importantly.... working with global Digital Media Agencies in our ad campaigns. In this regard, I have a great networking, key contacts in Istanbul. Thus, we'll have a global recognition not only in cryptocoin markets but in financial markets as well.

Resources

Most of the work will be outsourced in my term. Thus, I will provide each and every detail of payments to ensure transparency.
As a QMS expert, I'm planning to implement a double-check system for project organization.
1) My team of experts' approval
2) Community approval

Ethics
In my term, I guarantee that all the salary and spent amount will be publicly visible and will not be spent without prior community approval.

My "To Do List" might seem unrealistic but rest assured all these will be accomplished in my captaincy! Trust me in this campaign and vote for me as your new Chief Marketing Officer: MVTEcmoa78Tg5gRHzfjk5y5eaBxzP6GEYQ

MemoryCoin / Payment Gateway Plugin for MemoryCoin
« on: January 05, 2014, 09:01:23 am »
Hi everyone,

I'm running an e-commerce site which is in beta stage currently. The thing I need/imagine is a payment gateway plugin written especially for MemoryCoin 2.0.
This plugin must be compatible with the following:

Wordpress 3.8 + Woocommerce 2.0.20 (and 2.1 version which is planned to be released in January 2014)
Other e-commerce pack integration (Magento, OpenCart, etc) might be good, as well.

There is only a few payment gateways for Bitcoin. These are Bitpay, Coinbase, Mtgox, Bitcoin Payments for WooCommerce (outdated WP plugin), BTCMerch (high commissions) and coinpayments (haven't tried it yet but it looks crappy to me.)

If we (yeah, I mean we, as the MemoryCoin community, if there is one) can implement this feature for merchants, it will boost both the price and the volume for MemoryCoin. CxO guys, I'm not sure what you are doing nowadays but you should consider this idea or the big whales will swallow you badly! :)
