General Discussion / John Oliver roasted EOS on HBO
« on: March 12, 2018, 04:59:39 am »
On Last Week Tonight with John Oliver BItcoin and Cryptocurrencies were featured and landed on EOS slamming it and Brock Pierce. It was a pretty good show overall.

Just saw Steem on coinmarketcap and saw the authors of the white paper are BTS devs.  Are they no longer developing for BTS?  Did their dilution payments get cut?

General Discussion / Leave the Dev's alone!
« on: October 18, 2015, 03:39:38 pm »
They are all working their arses off to deploy this thing and all you a-holes can think about is your goddamn money lost in the process. Leave the dev team alone! They are doing a great job/s

LottoShares / Is this FreeTrade 2.0?

I thought Lottoshares died as it was not feasibly possible to integrate to the blockchain? This section may need a sticky differentiating itself.

Technical Support / Coinbase killed their referral program

It wasn't producing what they expected. Any concerns here?

Do you guys think your community is actively larger than Vertcoin?

I have no affinity to Vertcoin, it's a shit coin. I just chose it for comparison.

Bitshares is number 9 on coinmarketcap.com
Vertcoin is number 31 on coinmarketcap.com

BTS daily trading volume is $115K (today)
VTC daily trading volume is $15K (today)

Reddit.com is ranked at #32 globally and ranked #10 in the U.S.A. They have great accessible stats for their subreddits.

Here are Vertcoins subreddit stats:
https://www.reddit.com/r/vertcoin/about/traffic

and here is Bitshares subreddit stats:
https://www.reddit.com/r/bitshares/about/traffic

Then just for fun check out AskReddit's sub stats (largest subscribed sub on reddit):
https://www.reddit.com/r/askreddit/about/traffic

Why does this shitcoin have a larger community, assuming reddit stats accurately represent the communities beyond reddit too. Yeah, yeah, the Chinese community represents a huge part of Bitshares. Wouldn't that be true for Vertcoin and all altcoins for that matter?

Here is bitcoins sub stats:
https://www.reddit.com/r/bitcoin/about/traffic

So why are we not advertising on this huge website? 1,000 impressions costs between $1-$2 on reddit. Why hasn't a measly $1000 been spent on this just to try it? All the marketing delegates and AdamKErnests BTS collected so far equals much much more than that.

Insert another altcoin in the top 50 and their community's will all be larger than the godsend of crypto, Bitshares. Hell, even Ethereum's( https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/about/traffic) stats are booming in comparison, despite all the problems they have and the lack of an actual GUI.

Technical Support / What happened to the 30 million BTS
« on: September 11, 2015, 02:14:49 pm »
What happened to the 30 million BTS from the merger that was designated for marketing under the direction of Adam K. Ernest?  Are we just writing this off? Or are we still waiting for some numbered release?

Meta / You guys are being censored here

There was a thread that started with "The most important thing Bitshares...." has been deleted because it possessed posts that questioned CNX's ability to stay true to Bitshares. I only know this because my last post was a response to a well written post by Empirical1.2. I couldn't find my post or his and decided to search my history where I found the link to the thread here https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,17994.0.html
And it has been completely removed.

Hrm......

Are we already being controlled by the new central authority CNX? Or was this a lowly mod, jealous of all the power theymos and Co. have at BTCtalk and /r/bitcoin and wanted some satisfaction too?

Random Discussion / I guess I am going to have to go to BitcoinTalk

Why in the hell would anyone lock those threads?

This is why I go to bitcointalk to post this stuff. Or you can let the discussion continue here.

General Discussion / Cryptonomex? WTF is this?
« on: June 12, 2015, 07:17:05 pm »
It looks like we funded the BitShares team to develop a proprietary toolkit software where all profits from this will not benefit the BTS holder but in fact destroy them?

I also found a post by a concerned person that Bytemaster and team could eventually leave Bitshares to work on their for profit company that is going to compete with Bitshares?

I mean wtf? The whole merger was about getting rid of competition and now the Dev team has gone and started a for profit company using the technology we all paid them to develop "open source"

Please explain or direct me to links. Thanks.

Mainly answer where the time came from to develop this new project as we have been waiting for a stable 1.0 for nearly a year? And were you working on this as people were losing their ass while shorting bitAssets because of the fucked rules in place?

Technical Support / 2.0? What happened to 1.0?
« on: June 10, 2015, 02:51:19 pm »
Drop the 1.0, 2.0 crap please. If you can't even release a 1.0, marketing a 2.0 is just asinine.  You guys are funny.

General Discussion / Dogecoin is now worth more than BitShares
« on: April 11, 2015, 06:34:07 pm »
Wow.
I must admit, I never thought this would happen so fast and soon. I think this is the end. 20% loss of value in 2 days. I really thought the bottom was near $.006 but the downward run seems to have snowballed out of control.

General Discussion / Want to right the ship? Here's how:
« on: April 10, 2015, 05:19:14 am »
Take the BTS that is supposed to vest into Adam K. Ernest's pocket, either 10 million of it or the remaining ~27 million BTS  and use it as incentive for a company or companies to adopt bitUSD into their websites via the shopping cart plugins.  Companies like Ting Mobile, Republic Wireless, thinkgeek.com, Digital Ocean, HushMail, Uber or one of the bitcoin friendly's like Overstock and NewEgg, give 1-3 of them 10 million BTS each that will still vest over the 2 years. 10 million BTS is $50,000 at these low levels. They would stand to make a lot of money and they wouldn't have to do much besides accounting for the new payment method.

You could give them a delegate to mitigate peg fluctuation against them too. It's a win win for whoever takes it and it can't hurt BitShares.

I think it has been proven that adoption has to come by large influential players that adopt the bitAssets and are able to push them marketing wise through their own funds funnels. This would have to be a whale who has skin in the game. Incentivizing someone with a large stake would give them the skin needed to push adoption through use of bitUSD on their products. Grass roots and timely adoption can't keep pace with bitcoin's power draw.  Hell, the moonstone thing couldn't even get 100 retweets and the ones they got were probably laced with a few dummy accounts made by various users here. It seems that the community has shrunk and there maybe 50-100 active users while everyone else sold off and goes back to bitcoin or dogecoin. Something like this would bring them back and a whole lot more.  It's too bad I3 never did anything like this a year ago with the millions of shares they had when they worth a whole lot more too. >:(

It's a hell of a lot better chance than what Adam would bring us through FollowMyVote.

General Discussion / Power of the community: Price recovery action 1
« on: April 05, 2015, 07:53:53 pm »
Everybody needs to "vote out" all 100% delegates!

Is the current $800 salary worth the downward pressure and negative perception from both outsiders and the departing faithful?

What are the non-developer delegates actually doing that warrants any pay at this point?

The marketing teams have had the reverse effects of what was thought or promised; adoption is stagnant and share price has fallen. Max is the only one that has produced anything tangible and maybe the only person amongst the so called marketing people that deserves a slot.

I would easily bet more than half the 100% delegates do absolutely nothing other than working hard at making it seem like they are working hard while holding on to a hope and prayer that BTS launches to the moon and they get a free windfall out of the BTS they have sucked out of the system for free.

The time is now!

Vote these people out!

At least try it out and see what happens to the price.

$800 per month isn't going to make or break anyone who is legitimately doing something for the cause at this point and they should be more than willing to try out something that could bring more benefit to current shareholders who are hurting.

Oh wait, I forgot.  The people with the most shares and therefor a majority of the votes are all delegates themselves.

Well, whatever.  Never mind.
