General Discussion / Some very basic noob questions on BitUSD
« on: October 09, 2014, 01:12:31 am »
Hi all,

So I recently picked up a few BitUSD with the understanding that it pays interest.  I think I'm pretty good on how the interest is calculated but I have a couple of questions on interest payouts:

To receive an interest payout I understand that I have to "move" BitUSD.  What exactly does "move" mean?  Do I need to sell some or transfer it to another account?

When I do receive interest, is the interest payment shown in the transaction ledger?  If so, how is it identified, does it say something like "interest payment" or something else readily identifiable?

I've tried perusing various other threads to find answers, and while certainly helpful, I couldn't really nail anything clear on the above.  Maybe I missed it.

Thanks in advance!

My Mac OSX wallet isn't syncing at all.  It shows not connected at the bottom right.  It also shows an incorrect balance but all my transactions show in the recent transaction window.  It's like the wallet got hung up on an old block.

Same problem here.  After everything going smoothly for the first couple of days it crashed and is now stuck on block 320 when the client tries to resync.

On a separate issue, and this has more to do with aesthetics, the interface seems to be fuzzy.  This was the same with 0.4.9 although everything was crisp on 0.4.7.  I'm on Mac OSX 10.9.4.

Thank you.

Would it be possible to have this bit of information broadcast so its more accessible?

Bold words.  I hope you halted trades so those out there that have open short positions don't completely fucked.being that they can't access their funds even though others can.

If you ever want to get taken like a legitimate financial entity you need to do much better than a well spoken shrug of the shoulders.

It was a great session.  Too bad everything went to shit shortly thereafter why have they not figured out a fix to this?

Much needed.  I feel as about as savvy with cryptos as a non-techie can be although I'm still quite mystified by bitshares and all of the name iterations, getting invested with the new DACs, etc.  Adding some clarity will be very useful.  I'm looking to the discussion.
