Long confirmation times on PTS are normal due to its archaic difficulty adjustment algorithm. Essentially it's a very poorly-designed bitcoin clone that doesn't incentivize mining very effectively. Don't worry, your transaction will go through. Mine took over an hour yesterday.

this is off topic but no one is replying the bitshares thread.. been trying to withdraw pts from my wallet to bter, its been over an hour and not a single confirmation.. is PTS dead?

how long does it take to have a confirmation? I'm trying to withdraw pts from my wallet to beer and 30 min after, not 1 confirmation...

what will be the effect of overstock hiring counterpart devs to develop a decentralised exchange? in the webinar before didn't they say overstock was considering bitsharesX? i am curious

keep them in a wallet you control the private key

or

hold them in an exchange who are honoring the snapshot

as far as i know - bter and btc38 are honoring the snapshot (they will do the work for you, but you have to trust them)

thank you.. and that's all I need to do? so how then will I claim Notes after with my PTS wallet.. sorry, new to this.. haven't had experienced snapshot before

thanks.. before posting I made sure that i have the correct registered name and memo.. maybe it was the settings in the transaction fee that was not properly inputted.. there should be an FAQ somewhere in the wiki for newbies..

how do i transfer from my wallet to bter? i have tried 2x and it doesn't show up. how do i check the block explorer? what should the transaction fees be in the setting? there are no FAQs for newbies.. and this was supposed to be easier than bitcoin.. but its not- yet

bitshares was supposed to make it easier.. however, it is more difficult for me to transfer btsx from my mac wallet to bter. i have tried 2x with small amounts but they are not showing up. Also how is a transaction looked up in a block chain? how much should the transfer fees be? i have googled and searched here and on wiki bitshares but there is no information

can someone help pls- thanks!
