@capoeira

sorry for the inconvience to you. Hopefully they will fix it.

no problem. Bitshares concept is great....and obviously it has to pass a period of maturation

That may be a bug in BitShares-JS .. it seems it uses a too restrictive parameter for the length of the message

paging @jcalfee

and it's the standard message Metaexchanges requires.

Cass also wants this to get adapted for Bitshares, as the code is all open source, and he asked me a few weeks ago if I were interested in doing so. I had a look and it might be doable, but especially on the backend there's a lot of work to be done. I'm thinking of trying to work on that in November as I'll have some more free evenings.

It alleady would help a lot if there was an overview of the markets in the wallet, showing the volume and being able to sort by volume

While I agree it should be in the wallet and markets should be presented in a better way, for now you can find volume info and sort here:

http://www.bitsharesblocks.com/assets

now this is very usefull. thanks for the link (perhaps links like this could be included in the wallet?)

In http://www.ripplecharts.com/ i can see easily in what pairs and how much the volume is. and there are the charts. couldn't we have something like this for the Bitshares markets?

b) yes, you can send BitAssets to any account name. Be careful with trying to transfer directly from one exchange to another (sounds like that's what you meant?), because some exchanges need you to include a memo in your deposit transaction.

It's just that I inicialy I thought that BitAssets couldn't get outside of the wallet, in terms of can't be send. Thought they would only be tradable inside o wallet market

O I see

so:

a) PTS can't be moved to Bitshares wallet right?

b) any BitAsset can be move between wallets, that includes wallets on exchanges, right?

It's not quite clear to me how I deposit assets like PTS, BitUSD, etc. in the wallet.
there is only 1 adress and I think it's only for BTSX right?

You can see trading volume and charts in the client.
Here are a few other sources as well:

https://cryptrader.com/charts/bter/btsx/btc
http://www.cryptocoincharts.info/

And here's a bitUSD trading guide thread that might answer some questions:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=7103.msg94684#msg94684

Oh and the official WIKI might be helpful too:
http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/Bitshares_X

Anything else you need?

thanks a lot

but could you please point out where I can find volume and charts in the client? I can't find it
