General Discussion / How is the DNS compensation going ?
« on: April 06, 2015, 09:42:06 am »
Hi, I haven't been here for quite a time.

Anyone know how is the DNS compensation going now?

Ext. To use the latest BTS wallet, import the DNS wallet...?

Thanks!

Respect.

If the price doubled since launch you can't argue that the claimed stake "probably mostly hasn't changed hands".

People who held DNS but sold their PTS should not be treated as PTS holders.

People who bought DNS solely for DNS and who don't care about PTS also exist.

There was clearly some miscommunication because I am super angry at the result...

I did not approve the allocation BM posted and am furious about the crash in value. I did not see this coming and had been advising everyone that it won't matter what you held.

I am for the merger, but BM's execution seriously fucked people who supported me...

No problem!  But I really want to know what's wrong with my wallet import. and is there any guide to do that.

Did you try to dump private keys from your qt wallet?

The command you're looking for is wallet_import_bitcoin.

wallet_import_bitcoin /home/user/.bitcoin/wallet.dat "Everyone loves Fishes!" xman

wallet_import_bitcoin <wallet_filename> <passphrase> <account_name>
Imports a Bitcoin Core or BitShares PTS wallet

Parameters:
wallet_filename (filename, required): the Bitcoin/PTS wallet file path
passphrase (passphrase, required): the imported wallet's password
account_name (account_name, required): the account to receive the contents of the wallet

Thank you!

Sorry, I solved it.
My operation was wrong, I wanted to import BTC wallet from file menu, it was wrong. but it should be done when you create an account and then import btc wallet.

Could someone answer my 2 newbie quetions:
1. Shall I import by BTC wallet to get my AGS fund?
I imported my BTC wallet (alougth it seems by default jason file, I chaned file type to *, so chose the btc wallet.dat file and import), but failed:
Here is the error message:
------------------------
Failed to restore wallet backup. Your original wallet has been restored.
Error: Bad Cast(7)
Invalid cast form null_type to Array
------------------------

2. I tried to import my BTSX wallet, also failed.
------------------------
Failed to restore wallet backup. Your original wallet has been restored.
Error:Assert Exception(10)
base58str.substr(0, strlen(BTS_ADDRESS_PREFIX))====
BTS_ADDRESS_PREFIX:
invalid address 'BTSX4QcV4......'
------------------------

Anything wrong with my above two operations?

As a webmaster, I will hesitate to use a domain name that will be out of my control. that is, might be taken away by competiter, or a richer person.
