« on: December 17, 2020, 09:08:01 pm »
Settings>Backup>Create Brainkey Backup is just not working, brainkey can't be shown, and everything else seems to be regular with the account. Tried in Firefox, Chrome and Chromium. Anybody else experiencing the same?

BEOS / I cannot update staked BEOS
« on: October 22, 2020, 06:31:43 am »
When I try to update staked BEOS balance in eos-voter 0.7.9 I get this:

Error
The private key used in this wallet cannot perform the selected action.

The 'owner' private key is currently imported, which currently can only be used to issue the 'updateauth' command.
The current private key has insufficient permissions to execute the selected action.
The authorizations of this account no longer matches the key currently imported.

Any solution?

Their Telegram group is having some captcha check which (intentionally?) kicks you out even if you write the correct numbers. Is BEOS project dead?

Technical Support / Seeing more than 7-day of price history
« on: October 14, 2017, 01:59:14 pm »
Logged in to http://bitshares.openledger.info and I'm surprised I can't see more that 7 days old price graphs. I think much more of a price history could be seen before. Someone knows something about this?

General Discussion / Re: Damage control advice needed

If that happens again then my best strategy is patience until BTC price bottoms out again.

Since it seems 4th bubble has started... Bitcoin will likely bottom out in say 3 years at ~1000-2000 USD ;)

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares price discussion

Holy crap. As a BTS bagholder now, and constantly watching this space, I can only say: we're fooled. BTS is nothing but a get-rich-quick scheme for delegates, witnesses and other crew.

When the highest ranked stakeholders do not give a shit about the price (which is very very important thing), this is what happens. Shame this can kill Bitshares, it is fairly good, yet one of the buggiest softwares I ever saw. Bitshares needs more serious developers and more serious long-term holders, right now it serves only few people.

OK I imported it (hopefully ;). So using Export function from GUI DOES NOT WORK. You must use console. Thanks for help. Message to developers: "NEVER GO FULL RETARD".

Please can you explain exactly how did you do it because when I'm supposed to send BitShares Wallet Backup.json file, I only get "BitShares Wallet Backup.json is an unrecognized format". Thanks.

Says something like backup file not recognized, and then if you try to import it, it crashes.
Come on guys, how ABNOMAL is that? It's the most basic function that MUST work flawlessly after the launch!!

It's even worse, now when I enter 2.0 GUI, I'm not presented with the same screen as on the first startup - so I can't even find where I can try again.
More, if my old account is preserved how can I access it, I'm just offered the option to create account.

Will somone explain how to import the old balance?

Technical Support / Re: Online wallet blank page & lack of Linux client

But that one is linked on the first page of bitshares.org ?!  I mean how irresponsible is that? Somebody fix that thing? Having trouble to find exact words emphasizing the importance of this, it's like I don't believe it's happening.

WebSocket connection to 'wss://bitshares.org:8090/' failed: WebSocket is closed before the connection is established.
app.js:2 !!! WebSocket Error  wss://bitshares.org:8090

I guess this is where the problem is, and it's happening on two machines of mine, same problem.
I used 0.9.3c, and I see it can't synhronize anymore but I understand it's regular because of network 2.0 upgrade. Now I'm not using anything as I explained in first post.

Technical Support / Online wallet blank page & lack of Linux client
« on: October 14, 2015, 07:34:33 am »
Few hours after the launch, I can't make online 2.0 wallet because page is blank both in Firefox and Chromium. I also can't install Linux client because there are no binaries and I won't fuck with compilation. I need binary, I need apt package, whathever. Can't you care a little bit more for advanced users which commonly use the only good operating system that is Linux?

I must say, when you look from aside Bitshares is magnificent, it's when you start to dig deeper, you only see bugs and problems. That's what will not launch Bitshares where it belongs.
