I had these shares on my client from the beginning so I hope it should be ok . When i started up the laptop just now the old client  it showed 100 PTS  but it could not connect  which is to be expected.

But thanks for your advice and time ag2.  I will look into this more and see if i can get these Bitshares etc .. Please PM me your BTS account ag2 and if anything come from this and I get some BTS I will send some over as a thank you for your time and advice.

Hello many moons ago i bought a bunch of protoshares and completely forgot about the wallet on my old laptop.

I have just dug this laptop up and found the old PTS wallet.

I remember when i first got them is that they could be exchanged for Bitshares and other stock when they became available.

I was wondering if there is any guide or recommendations as to what i can exchange them for or can i use them to claim different stocks? I have 100 PTS which is probably nothing at all but i thought I better do something with them.

Any advice or links for a noob would be greatly appreciated. I have searched for articles in regards to pasting the PTS wallet into the client to claim those assets but i was wondering if there is anything else i can do or should i just wait?

Many thanks in advance for your time and help

Marketplace / Newbie interested in buying PTS

Hi everyone,

I am from a 37 year old IT Consultant who is pretty much the last person find out about anything and get in on the "groundfloor" as it were.

In my stupidity i did poo poo the idea of bitcoin when i first heard about them a couple of years ago more fool me .... but after recent press I have been very interested with the cryptocurrency movement.

I heard a podcast on lets talk bitcoin where they spoke about PTS and Bitshares and I was extremely interested and wanted to get involved and see how PTS/Bitshares would work.

I have been mining at home and even tried Digital Ocean for the past 3 weeks ... netting me a whopping staggering 1.2 bitshares so far :)

I dont see it as a waste of money becuase the sole purpose of the spend was to learn not to earn.

now I am looking to buy a few Protoshares.

I have purchased a few infinite coins from ebay a few weeks ago and i understand many sellers are very scared of using paypal which is totally understandable.

I am looking to buy PTS and need the way to make it as easy and as quick as possible.

I would like to buy about a few in the begining 4-5 until a trust has built up.

I would like to pay with paypal and ensure the seller has the funds and also provide any willing to do confirmations for microtransaction for address correctness before the rest of hte amount is despatched ... this doesn't really ease the sellers worries but I am open to any other way of doing the tranaction.

I would like to get verified or use an escrow etc but i dont really understand how escrow works  (not very financially savvy)

I hope someone can help or offer me any advise.

Many thanks
