could you stop the BitShares client and verify that it is closed properly using the task manager?

That seems like an issue of communication with the bitshares core component ..
I am an power user, so yes.

I booted it again (bitshares) but before booted end proces -> and reseted DB.

Its now resyncing and working again.

You can't "join" a delegate, you just pick which ones you approve or become one yourself.

What do you mean BTC swapping? Like a service that converts BTC to BitBTC and back? Right now your best bet is just a centralized exchange for that.
I got my BTS due to investing with BTC in the count-down.

But now I truly wonder, how can I retrieve LottoShares    Bitshares Vote    BitShares DNS ?
I can't vind them anyware, neither how to aquire them or what they are?

Ok thanks, is there any 'tutorial' how to become a delegate ?

And delegate is an CPU/GPU eater or ?

You don't "mine" or "stake", only delegates produce blocks and get paid. Instead you sit back and enjoy the growth of BTS value =P

You can vote for up to 110 distinct delegates at once. You voted correctly.
Ah ok, as far I understood I could 'join' a delegate.

How does BTC swapping occur/works (btsBTC) ?
Or is it, currently, purely fictional ?

And is there an web/json API for BTS(x) adress generating ?

Also the client should get more 'common'ly so more people adopt it.

I am a total noob when it comes to BTS.
I have 903K BTS.

How do I mine/stake/revenue ?

I did select 1 delegete (more are in the list but I can't remove them) and then I vote all -> resended all BTS to me with 0.5 Fee and I clicked ok ?

Its really confusing, now I have an IT background but I can't really solve this trick...  :o ?

I havent yet read a confirmed time line for when Invictus will release a separate chain for stocks. How soon after BTS X will this happen? If not then I might just attempt this myself - I think it would just be a case of forking the code and renaming the asset enums (and initializing the genesis block to AGS/PTS holders of course).

Also, are we certain that 16 different assets is the practical upper limit before overloading the blockchain, or is this another variable that will have to be experimented with? It would be great if you could fit the entire Nasdaq on one chain, and the NYSE on another.
I strongly support creating new chains like this.  I would wait until the BitShares XT test finds all the bugs prior to forking.

I believe we can increase the upper limit with some efficiency updates I have in mind for market making.   The limit is really based upon transaction volume and block size, not the number of assets.   I volume assets competing on the same chain will increase fees for everyone.
Creating 'different' chains to support different assets (F.E. bitUSD, bitEuro, bitBTC, bitLTC etc) requires a fork instead of included within bitShares X  :o ? :-\

There are plans for mobile apps, and also a bounty out for a browser based local wallet.  This should enable basically any internet enabled device to access BitShares.

Assets must be included from genesis in a chain.  Anyone can create additional chains with new assets, but that's only useful if the assets you choose appeal enough that others accept your chain to use it with you.

Hope that helps some...
Thanks, but these chains run on their own blockchain (Angel Shares Explorer) and not BTC block chain like mastercoin right ?

-5% yearly
-transaction fees and  and margin-call fees are used to pay dividends.
Thank you for clarification.

What is 'margian-call' fees exactly ?

BOUNTY – Adapt Open Source Armory Wallet to support Altcoin Protoshares

Lighthouse – Posted by Lighthouse – Anywhere

Job Description

Protoshares is a new bitcoin derived cryptocurrency from Invictus Innovations. It is unique among cryptocurrency because there is a private company who has put a social contract in place that when it releases the products on its roadmap (Bitshares, Domainshares, etc.), whomever holds Protoshares (PTS) will be given shares of the newly released product at a 1:1 ratio to their PTS holdings.

This means that instead of being a currency that trades on the merits of the currency or its network, it trades on the future value of the products that Invictus will deliver to whomever holds them. It is unique among coins in that it has a tangible reason to hold it, periodic and significant payouts of new cryptocurrency.

This unique value proposition and the fact that only 2 million will be mined has led to a very high price even only 12 days after the start of mining, and the adapted BitcoinQT client is insufficient for the task of securely storing. I have started a bounty which has a minimum value of 5BTC or 100PTS, and which might wind up being higher than that if I can convince some larger holders of PTS to contribute.

The most secure bitcoin wallet is http://www.bitcoinarmory.com, it is open source and supposedly not that difficult to convert to a bitcoin based altcoin. Protoshares at a technical level is the latest version of Bitcoin with a new proof of work and modified difficulty/block reward settings.

Will there be an app written for android and/or iphone ?

Also with bitshares, its possible to create you're own assets ?

Also how will the anonymity be with bitshares when you cashout back to real money/items ?

and in the vid they named bitGold aswell, but can anyone create a bitNAME or is this just pre-programmed ?

And people who hold bitshares, have a 5% increase in dividend.
Monthly, or yearly base ? Also how it works when all accounts are active there fore no 'lost' accounts to share dividents from?

Btw, making this vid
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BV55IrZi7g
similiar like the what is bitcoin vid, will give it more popularity. Currently is little bored to listen/watch when you barely know/understand what it is (imo)

BitShares AGS / Re: 3 BitShares AGS questions
« on: January 25, 2014, 11:06:53 pm »
For Bitshare X there will only be 4 M bitshares.

2M  BTS  will be allocated to PTS holders
2M BTS will be allocated to AGS holders.

There is no mining  it uses Consensus + Proof of Stake for securing the network.
Then if there is a hard limit of 2 PTS aswell, why the fuck would people switch there PTS to AGS currently ?

Or am I the only one missing something here ?

BitShares AGS / Re: 3 BitShares AGS questions

Last question, and maybe the most important one.

The 4M bitshares, is that the hard limit or will it be sorta-mineable ?
