General Discussion / exchange
« on: December 02, 2017, 02:34:49 am »
im a newbie, been doing crypto for about 6months. I have a trezor wallet and use exodus. I own a few altcoins too. I have decided to buy bts and have around 145k bts.

For the first time i have tried to exchange bts for bitcoin and i just wanted to let you all know how confusing and complicated the process is to work out for someone at my level. The whole experience has left me wanting to pull my position.

Great platform, great founders, great community....and no one uses the platform. Mean while competitors are catching up fast. Unfortunately the Lamborghini in a farm shed describes bitshares 100%

I believe this is why bitshares has under preformed. These guys go on about how great they platform is but no one has heard of us. I have a fairly decent investment and it frustrates us to see such a good company with awesome founders with very poor marketing.

Hi All, I'm wondering what is happening to bitshares?  I'm lost as to why I continues to under perform compared to others. I've invested 60k bts and am prepared to hold but cant help but think I've made a mistake.

i think i need to wait until the process is way more simplified guys, this is just way to confusing to get my head around it. Been to ccedk.com opened a account but am still unsure what to do there. Tried buying bitusd and a few other things and i just get more confused.  Really do appreciate everyones help but i think i should wait.

thanks for all the comments guys. I decided to re read the bitshares 101 and watch the videos a few times. So this is where im at, i need to buy bitcoins first and ive never done that before. I understand to do my first transaction with a small amount. So from what i understand i need to find a exchange that accepts australia $ ( im in Aussie ). So could someone recommend a site i go to to set up a bitcoin account please.

Ok for those of you reading this ill share with you my thoughts. A bit of back ground on myself. Im a baker of 25yrs and im a very good one. My computer skills are pretty much email and facebook. I have invested in precious metals for about 5yrs.

So i have watched the companies intro videos and for a newbie this is all very technical and difficult to understand. I have a deep desire to master this so will repetitively listen and read until i have a clear understanding. However i feel the company needs to simplify the info much more.

So lets talk bakers talk. Lets say i want to make a chocolate cake.

Stage1  butter and sugar- cream
stage2  add the eggs
stage3  add the flour, coco and baking powder
stage4  add water
stage5  put it into the tin
stage6  bake at 190 for 30mins
stage7  ice the cake

So my point here guys is for a newbie they need 2 very simple recipes.

Recipe 1 is for people who want to invest in bitshares.
Recipe 2 is for people who want to invest in bitassets.

Everything needs to be so simple and in order. The simplest and fastest way to make a nice chocolate cake!!  The recipe could involve media screen recordings, links to sites etc.

just putting it out there.

I said this to ken earlier.  Trying to getting your head around all this is like drinking from a fire hose!!  or put another way its like going from knowing how to ride a bike to learning to fly a plane!!  The language you use, the terms, everything. its all very daunting. ill get there im determined too:))
