Hello,

Do you run an NTP server to keep the time synchronized?

I have an ntp server running but it seems to be 35 seconds off.

Hi,

Yes I use an ntp daemon. However I have noticed that there is an offset of 35 seconds. I am in a virtual container so I am wondering if the server I am on is not running a daemon.

Hey all. New kid on the block. Surprisingly I have been able to setup a witness node and account on the main net and was advised that most start on the testnet before campaigning for witness votes.

So, I am trying to get onto the testnet and I cannot seem to make it passed an internal c++ error when compiling graphene-testnet. I have tried g++4.8 and g++4.9 on 14.04 ubuntu. Anyone else ran into this issue?

It's a memory issue. Had to stop the main net witness node from hogging all the resources.

Stakeholder Proposals / Witness: salvation-2016
« on: March 25, 2016, 06:24:27 am »
Hello all,

Please consider voting for Witness Node: salvation-2016. It is hosted on terminal.com in an environment that is realtime scalable in both cpu, memory, and diskspace!

I am a one man show with a technical background in electrical engineering and 17 years experience. I have been following bitshares for a few months now and I am simply amazed. I have of course voted all my shares! I wish I could code as well as I do circuit design, however please don't hold that against me! ;-)

The witness is literally less than 1 hour old ... so please forgive the broken url link. I will be working on it in the coming days. I hope to become more actively involved in the bitshares community!

This is a wonderful piece of technology. I teach my 13 year old son trading and investing principles on this platform! He obviously has his own wallet!

Thank you for your votes ... and if I can do it, so can you!

Cheers,

+Valerian

Hi ...
newbie here.

I have a bts_default.bin from OL web wallet. How do I export / retrieve my private key from it (or from an account in it)?

I am trying to setup a witness node/account and cannot import my account to the CLI without the private key.

Thanks.

Regards,

+V
