then why not instead of voting, we put up a rating system just like ebay or amazon. it might be based on reputation or based on ratings on the value of the proposal.

It's like voting, but with a rating system, people are incentivised why they are voting or rating the proposal. Raters/voters are given tokens according to the value they bring into the discussion.

Votes are cast with the total rating value at the end of the rating/voting period.

Just like steemit, we can create a new asset just for the purpose of incentivising the raters. That way, there will be intelligent discussion instead of just random voting.

^^^^THIS^^^^^ This is a great idea! This along with making the voting interface much more user-friendly and show more info about what shareholders are voting for, I think can help in making this experiment work. I would support this fully.

You have my support for this.  +5%

I did, but have not yet received a response from them. Since OpenLedger is decentralized, I don't even know if somebody will reply to me. But OpenLedger is connected with BitShares since it's the main exchange where you can exchange BTS and other bitAssets, if there is a scam with OpenLedger.io, then BitShares will be affected as well.

Hi,

Please help me, I don't know the difference between Openledger.info and Openledger.io. I used both for quite some time and I thought both are the same.

A couple of minutes ago, I sent in some BTC from an exchange to my Openledger.io address. I was in a hurry and it was too late until I checked that it was not a BTC address. I already approved the withdrawal when I checked if it was BTC, and to my horror the first name on the dropdown was an AGRS address and there was not even a BTC address to deposit in OpenLedger.io. I repeat BTC address was missing from the Deposit dropdown on OpenLedger.io.

When I deposit, BTC was usually the first one on the dropdown so I assumed when I click copy address that it was a BTC address. I know it was my fault since I was in a hurry, but I know I must not be the only one who had this problem.

Therefore I mistakenly sent in my BTC to an AGRS address. So I went back to my exchange and sent them a support email to see what I can do. I haven't received word from them yet. However I checked the transaction id: 8ab9342fb74a983482cac0d2af390e42628bb72549e9e1a6c451fb57528dd4f4  and  was surprised to see my BTC was also accepted there.

I mean this AGRS address is also a BTC address?? The AGRS address in question is: 14PMgMzojocsxmQfB4xCBsJETdDoDRW8zX

So my questions are:

1. Is OpenLedger.io a legit OpenLedger address?
2. If it is, then why is BTC deposit gone there, but it is present in OpenLedger.info?
3. If it is a scam, what can I do to protect my account? Is my account compromised?
4. AGRS address is the same in both OpenLedger.io and OpenLedger.info, is there a way I can get my BTC from that AGRS (BTC) address? Can I still get the funds wrongly sent?

I am so happy with OpenLedger until I encountered this issue. I hope somebody can give me enllghtenment on what I can do.

Thanks in advance.

Like what have you done? It's people like you and the infighting that's caused a lot of people to stay away from bitshares in the past.

Anyway, Dan and Stan, thanks for everything you've done. I love the HERO and I totally believe in your vision. I'd like to contact you because I'm part of a worldwide network of entrepreneurs and business leaders. I'd like to introduce you to our leader and perhaps you can do a talk in one of our events. A lot of business people in our network wants to understand what cryptocurrency and bitshares are and how they can apply it to their businesses. Our network has Anthony Robbins, Richard Branson, Robert Kiyosaki and a lot of influential people speak at our events. I believe HERO can definitely change the world and our group can help.

Please contact me so I can set you up a meeting as soon as possible. I am located in Los Angeles. Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

wow that's a lot of bitshares. It happened to me once in bittrex I think, luckily the amount bounced back to me since it did not leave their wallet for some reason and I was able to email their support and get my money back.

Try contacting poloniex email / chat support if you can get help from them.

Good luck and I hope you get it back...

P.S. Why are you transferring to polo?? You can just trade on the DEX, although the GUI is not as good as polo, it will grow on you eventually. Anyway just asking though..

I think bitAssets particularly bitCNY is driving us to the moon. The Chinese are waking up at the value of trading bitCNY, I watched volume double, almost triple last night. It was fascinating :D
