Technical Support / Ligth wallet password VS online password

When I try to access my wallet online i get "incorrect password" But when I open my account in my local Bitshares2light wallet on my laptop my password works just fine.

Can some one plz explain this and how do I proceed to work this out?

Also do you know if there is anywhere in the BitsharesX client where you can see what the actuall version is? I can not find it. Now I know what version I have since I have the old .exe but if I didn't have it I wouldn't know.

The BitSharesX app data such as chain, wallet file, and other databases are stored in user specific app data folders, separate from the wallet application itself. I believe this is in the current user's AppData folder on Windows; on OS X it is in Users/<user>/Library/Application Support/BitShares X.

Thanks. I use windows. Its in %Appdata% for us to. Ill make a back up just for safety then. Ofcours I also have a .json wallet file exported.

This is a good Idea. Also I think we need several more in depth animated educational videos with up to date aesthetics of its own that not just copy the aesthetics of the old Bitcoin video. Im not saying I don like the current Bitshares video but I do believe that  it could make more impact if there was an even better production behind it. Also since the concept of Bitshares is even trickier to wrap your head around I think there is a need to make pedagogic simple educational videos that goes more into depth with subsets of how the different shares would actually work in practice. For instance there could be one that solely focus on Bitshares Music. Let me know what you think.

 I used to mine on Linux and all worked fine. But now I have a Windows service running. Do you know what I am doing wrong?

I noticed the same behavor as you described in the Keyhotee client that I compiled yesterday (2014-01-20) on Linux; simply pasting your public key into the "To:" field in the Mail message window does not activate the send button.  I worked around this issue by adding your public key to a new contact, then putting that contact in the "To:" field.

I'm not sure if this would be considered a bug, but it's not what I would expect from an email client, where I can copy and paste an email address without adding it as a contact.  It might not be an issue once we are communicating using the actual Keyhotee IDs instead of public keys.

I did like you describe here and sent you a test message. Seams to work. Please respond when/if you see it.

Question: regarding broadcasting e-mail in version 0.5.2. I cant seem to be able to send a message to broadcast emails. When pasting a public ID in the send slot nothing happens.
