The creators of EasyDex are happy to announce our latest project – The EasyLife system of inter-operating blockchains. Built on top of the Bitshares platform, EasyLife will bring fast and scalable decentralized (graphene-based) solutions to many fields including censorship-resistant, monetized social and user-created media platforms, decentralized gig economy applications, and many more features and functions to benefit everyone from ordinary users to business and technical professionals. EasyLife will work natively with Bitshares which will function as the economic hub of the system while EasySocial (the first chain in the system, currently under development) will function as the social hub of the system. To find out more visit https://ezlife.io or join the community on Discord and/or Telegram. For the Bitshares community anyone who joins our Discord and leaves their bitshares username in the #bitsharestalk-bounty room will receive 5 bounty tokens redeemable for stake in the EasySocial chain on mainnet launch.

General Discussion / Re: BitShares-Core Release 2.0.180612
« on: June 16, 2018, 05:05:10 am »
Is it because some of the fixes are not applicable to the testnet?
With some of the changes like the ones in this release some of which are pretty major you want to run them on testnet for a little bit to make sure no strange bugs pop up that you didn't foresee. That being said, I'm really excited about this release. This will make some of the features we have planned MUCH easier to implement and will help us bring lots of exciting features to the Bitshares ecosystem.

General Discussion / Re: BitShares Discord Tip Bot
« on: June 16, 2018, 05:00:02 am »
We have someone ironing out the bugs on a discord tip bot right now actually.... he's just working in his spare time and we're going to pay him for letting us use it when it's done so I don't press him to get it finished sooner. To address both the issues of depositing funds and the atomicity that customminer and akashic brought up, you just run a different instance of the bot with the account you want to send from's key. Trying to do it any other way would just be silly. I'll gladly let you know when he's done or if you want we could probably put together a bounty for them for when they finish to try to hasten progress. Shoot me a DM on Discord if you want to talk about it... you know how to get in touch with me.

Hello Bitshares! It's been quite a while since we've checked in here. Since that time we've launched the beta phase of our UI at https://exchange.easydex.net complete with fiat bridges and password recovery for new accounts created through our UI as well as started our token campaign (more info on that at https://steemit.com/easydex/@easydex/the-easydex-portfolio-builder-token-campaign-20180514t124227842z-post). Now we are happy to announce that we have launched our first crypto gateway with EasyDex.BTC! Our Bitcoin gateway has many interesting features that we think really sets us apart from the other gateways on Bitshares. For one thing, instead of having a (high) set withdrawal fee, our gateway allows users to set their own approximate miner fee. I say approximate because the Bitcoin software doesn't allow us to set the actual satoshi amount of a transaction, only the fee per byte and since the amount of bytes a transaction will require depends on previous deposits making it impossible to predict the actual fee. However, even the  minimum withdrawal fee of 3000 satoshis should be more than sufficient to ensure that your withdrawal arrives in your wallet in a timely fashion while being several times cheaper than any other gateway or even centralized exchange that we've ever used. However, you won't have to wait long to find out because we send your withdrawal right away. That's right, those nervous times of anxiously waiting for your withdrawal to appear in your wallet as a pending transaction are over! The moment your withdrawal is received we put the transaction on the blockchain and it should show up in your wallet as a pending transaction by the time you can click over to your wallet. Of course, there is no deposit fee so all you have to pay is the approximate miner fee of your choice and the competitive 0.2% market fee, half of which gets sharedropped on Portfolio Builder token (EASYDEX.PB) holders! In addition, our dev team is already hard at work building our next gateway: EasyDex.STEEM and EasyDex.SBD which should be released in a few days. After that we will begin working on an EOS mainnet gateway followed by probably LTC before beginning work on an ETH gateway where we can also include a variety of ERC20 tokens. As always, there will be only a 0.2% market fee half of which gets sharedropped on PB token holders and users will be able to set their own miner (or gas, etc) fees on all applicable tokens. If you have any questions, comments, token suggestions or just want to chat with our amazing team we invite you all to join us on Telegram at https://t.me/easydex or on Discord at https://discord.gg/JPva8DS or simply reply to this thread.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. Part of our vagueness was rather intentional. For instance, while all of the founders share a strong Libertarian to AnarchoCapitalist ideology, we tried to tone down our political rhetoric as our target audience will be people who are new to crypto and not necessarily so politically minded. In fact, it is our primary goal to introduce people to this technology that will have a strong libertarianizing effect upon people who otherwise might not see themselves as such. Since we will be providing bridge services for most (with a few exceptions, ie: Ripple) major cryptos, others that might not have gotten the attention we feel they deserve yet, as well as fiats we try to have something for everyone. Speculators will be able to speculate in a wide variety of currencies without having to use some shady centralized exchange while savers will likely be attracted to our portfolio building token that will allow them to hedge their bets by receiving sharedrops of a wide variety of tokens. We also have other tokens in the works but don't want to announce them until we are further down the road. As far as the UX/UI goes, we have several ideas to make the services easy enough for a grandmother to use but also want to stay open-minded and hear the thoughts and suggestions of the community as well. It is our thoughts that not having too strict of a framework in these initial days will help others in the community feel comfortable providing their input into the project as well. As per our projected timeline, right now we are primarily focused on the variety of problems that come with creating the tethered crypto and fiat assets that each provide a unique challenge, particularly the fiats. Since our team is currently composed of tech and financial experts we are also expanding our team to include people with more design and marketing expertise so forgive us if at the moment we aren't the best at describing our beautifying our project. These things are being worked on. Additionally, we are aware of the changes that have been made and are currently being made since this project was conceived as far as changes to the current UI and new wallet options and are monitoring them closely. All of us are very familiar with Dan's work both previous and upcoming and largely share his visions and we agree that many different wallet designs and services are necessary for Bitshares to realize its full potential.

We've already put hundreds of man hours and thousands of dollars into the project registering the company, paying the lawyers, etc to set up services that will benefit everyone on the platform. We have not asked anyone for any financial contributions as of yet and don't plan to do so. Our token is a portfolio builder token (that will benefit the holders more than it will us) and won't be official announced until the bridge services that back it have been created. The internet is full of people who have pre-sold ICO tokens based on names and promises that never manifested. We would like our services to speak for themselves. Of course, our profiles will be added to the site before the tokens are officially announced and some of the services will be online. As I pointed out earlier, the site is under construction and the goal of this post was to start building the community and see what services are most needed. Your welcome to join us on Telegram or Discord if you have any questions or suggestions.

The website is under construction as clearly stated on the first page. However, it is functional regardless of which browser you use..... I think that's important. Have you tried using wallet.bitshares.org in Opera?

The purpose of this thread is just to introduce people to the idea so that they will know what it is when we start announcing services as they come online and to start building the community.  I didn't mention the tokens in this thread because this isn't an ICO announcement.  Unlike the majority of ICOs, we're not trying to sell an idea based on a white paper that may or may not manifest but instead, will be adding services in the coming days and weeks. Since the token is based on the bridge services we'll probably be officially announcing the tokens when the bridge services start coming online.

General Discussion / Re: Creating a new UI based on Bitshares
« on: January 03, 2018, 05:17:55 pm »
we're actually working on these exact things right now. In addition to creating an easier UX/UI we are also working on creating tethered assets for many fiats for use on Bitshares. AUD itself would be kinda hard for us to do as I don't know of any banks in the country we're based in that support AUD accounts, we're always looking for more people to team up with. If you'd like  to share ideas, etc and learn more about the problems we've faced so far implementing these things and our solutions we've come up with I invite you to join us on telegram at https://t.me/easydex or discord at https://discord.gg/7Ta35z8

While Bitshares provides the greatest platform in  the crypto space, mass adoption of the platform has been slow. Through our research and experience we have found that the largest barrier for new users has been confusion using the platform. While Bitshares offers the fastest and one of the cheapest means of trading and transferring crypto assets, inexperienced users have trouble learning to use the platform and understanding the various benefits it offers. EasyDex was conceived to solve these problems. Our goal is to provide a suite of easy to use services built on the Bitshares platform while integrating with other projects to maintain the technological cutting edge.  We will accomplish our goals by the creation of many services including but not limited to:

  • A simplified, more intuitive proprietary UX/UI for the Bitshares platform with embedded services
  • Tethered crypto and fiat assets transparently matched with a greater amount of the asset in our wallets and accounts
  • Easy fiat deposits and withdrawals
  • A fast and inexpensive payment system that is easy for both merchants and customers to use
  • A simplified API for easy integration
  • A smart contract/dapp building engine and hosting service for the upcoming EOS platform

Other services will eventually include a marketplace, crypto ATMs, CFDs, margin trading/lending, a blockchain blogging platform and many  more.

EasyDex is currently under construction but you can learn more at www.easydex.net, join the conversation at Discord or Telegram, or follow us on Twitter. Additionally, you can download our whitepaper here.
