Technical Support / Bitsharescan question
« on: March 18, 2019, 11:59:56 pm »
Hi folks,
Can someone please tell me what the column headings mean when using bitsharescan?  Specifically the columns Asset Value and Total, which follow Description.

When Description says "account name paid"; Asset Value says 1 OPEN.BTC; and Total says 4000 USD, it seems to me that this means that the account holder sold 1 OPEN.BTC for $4000.

In fact, it appears as though it means the account holder bought 1 OPEN.BTC for $4000.

Can someone please a) clarify which is the case; and b) let me know if this is always the case or if it depends somehow on the individual transaction?

Thanks

Technical Support / Bitshares and Openledger
« on: January 30, 2018, 06:24:03 am »
So I don't completely understand the relationship between Openledger and Bitshares.  Some time ago, I created a local wallet through openledger, so I have an existing bitshares account.

Can I go download the bitshares client, and use the recover wallet function to access the wallet I created through Openledger, and simply go ahead and trade using the Bitshares client?  What about using the bitshares webwallet the same way?  Are all of these options or do I need to create a separate wallet and/or send coins from the Openledger wallet to the Bitshares wallet?

Thanks, and I apologize since I figure this topic has likely been covered before...

Technical Support / Re: Unable to install on Mac

I have tried downloading from here: https://bitshares.org/download/ and here: https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-core/releases/tag/2.0.171212

Version: Bitshares-2.0.180115.dmg.

When I drag it to Applications, I get the message: The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found.
(Error code -43)

When I check the contents, it contains the following folders:
_CodeSignature
Frameworks
MacOS
Resources

and Files:
Info.plist
PkgInfo

Not sure what other info you need, but I do appreciate the help.

Technical Support / Unable to install on Mac
« on: January 29, 2018, 04:33:44 am »
Hi there,

Just tried installing the latest core client on Mac, running High Sierra.  So far I have been using the Openledger web wallet, but wanted to try out the core client.

I receive error message -43: The operation can’t be completed because one or more required items can’t be found.

Any easy fixes?

Thanks
