Keyhotee / Re: Kehotee ID very expensive?

Love to get one, unfortunately at 10 PTS, it'll never happen...I've been mining in a pool for a week and haven't even gotten 1 PTS yet.

Agreed, urgently need to consider evaluation, the wealth disparity at such an early stage is too wide at this time, 10 PTS will take closer to 1 month of leaving laptop running, and then my PTS count at 0. it's not feasible for joe public.

At least we all seem to agree that continued efforts to enfranchise the "little guy" are critically important.  We will continue to sponsor research to do just that.

^^ this is absolutely crucial. people will rapidly lose interest in watching an 100x accelerated bitcoin where the vast majority of the wealth has already been siphoned off by those with access to cloud compute clusters and botnets. meanwhile mining collecting 0.2 a day whilst people selling 10k at a time..wtf? what a turn off!! how can it feel like completely missing the boat at such a short time after official launch, is that right?

left to pick up a pizza crumbs @ 10x price from mere fortnight ago, hoping there is a someone with bigger greed out there to allow them to earn, it needs to be more than that cause it's just depressing to see such a disparity already.

This had potential, hope it can still turn things around.

BitShares PTS / Re: Will PTS survive after the next difficluty change?

24hr mining on a i5-2400 generates ~0.2 PTC. I clearly missed the train, and i guess mining is not worth the effort right now. ptspool workers went from 3700 yesterday to 2500 this morning.

same.

BitShares PTS / Re: How many PTS do you have

total currently: 0  >:(
botnet owners, and those with access to large cloud compute clusters who started day 1 seem to be the winners, after next difficulty change, I think ordinary miners can call it a night.

BitShares PTS / Re: Coyote Pool 2.0 - One Day Rounds Proportional Payout
« on: November 15, 2013, 12:46:01 am »
tried the linux version in a VM,allocated full cores, 2GB RAM running for past 45min but HPM still 0
jhprotominer generated shares, tested for 1 day.
old version of coyote miner showed same behaviour, but was OK running natively.
any idea what is the problem?

We currently have 48 second blocks... if your machine is slower than 48 seconds to find the first hash it will always reset the search prior to finding anything.   In effect, until the block rate slows down to 5 minutes your machine is too slow to run this proof of work.

Thanks for answer, do you know what is the bottleneck? running on i5 on linux vm is not returning anything
running on some core2 duo on windows natively is fine

now fee 10% ?

Orphans are high again, I don't get to keep that, I am just earning less so I pass it along.

OK, sorry I am a newbie.

I wonder if this seems normal?

should we expect to see something higher than 0 straight away?

strange, running from another pc the windows version reports straight away HPM of 10 or so
linux build running on virtual machine on osx host for 1hr and still hpm 0, same as screenshot above

Your HPM should be positive... unless you are on a VERY slow machine ... you have not found any shares yet.

it's macbook air with i5, but running coyote in virtual machine, still would think you can see some tiny earnings :/
I left running another miner on windows vm for 10 hours or so some days ago and there was no earnings too
