Providing the full path worked great!
I also got the exported 0.9.3c keys imported into 2.0.
Thank you so much for your help!

I'm using OS X (10.10.5)

Thank you for the help.
I was able to install 0.9.3c, but when I run the export command it never does anything.
I ran this command: wallet_export_keys btsKeyExport.json
Then I used spotlight to search for btsKeyExport.json and it does not exist on my computer.

Is this because the client program will not sync? If so, how can I get it to sync? (It says "Severe network problems" and it does not appear to be making progress.)

I don't know what version my current bitshares client is, but I think it was from more than 6 months ago.
When I try to import the json file into Bitshares 2.0 it says "Invalid Format".
How can I recover my BitShares in this situation?

KeyID / Re: http://freekeyid.com/ faucet has run dry

Apparently it assigned me a name beginning with "untitled"... oh well no big deal.
But it does seem strange that I was told that I would be charged 0.5 DNS (I think) and then it charged me 1000x what I expected (500 DNS).

Can somebody help me register my account?
I can't get my genesis block reward.

Update: Never mind, I just figured it out!
I noticed it charged me 500 DNS to register my name... and it didn't let me choose a name.
Is that expected behavior?

Thanks Riverhead,
That appears to have fixed my problems!

Thanks also to gamey: Your description regarding #1 would definitely explain why replacing the wallets folder fixed the problem.

My first wallet was created on a mac.
I got my genesis BTSX by importing my PTS private key.
Then I exported my BitSharesX wallet to a json file.

Next, I went over to my Ubuntu 14.04 machine.
I successfully followed the instructions to build the BitSharesX client here:
https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=5951.0

Then I ran into a number of issues when importing my BitSharesX json wallet into my Ubuntu BitSharesX client by following these instructions:
http://wiki.bitshares.org/index.php/BitShares_X_Solutions#Importing_a_JSON_export_from_BitShares_X

1. The biggest problem I'm having is that I must re-execute the wallet_create_from_json command every time I exit and re-start BitShares X because all the imported json info disappears.
2. Another problem I saw was that when I tried to call wallet_create_from_json with a wallet name that is the same as a wallet name already within the client (that I'm importing into) it complained that the wallet name was invalid no matter what I entered.
3. Another problem I saw was that when I tried to call wallet_create_from_json with a wallet name that was different from the wallet name I used in the original (mac) client it complained that the wallet name was invalid no matter what I entered.

Problems 2 & 3 may or may not be separate issues because both were happening simultaneously and I don't have the energy to go back and figure it out.

BitShares AGS / What is the smallest investment allowed in Angel Shares
« on: February 04, 2014, 02:47:00 pm »
I don't want to invest a lot of money, so I'd like to evenly divide all my investment over all the remaining days.
So what's the minimum investment allowed per day -- measured in PTS and also measured in BTC?
