Great work. Win is still slower than linux but i am getting ~4800 c/m now with my 290x and Catalyst 14.

yep...

After changing "-a 1" to "-a 0"...
290X (2 thread) - 4817 col/m (from 4679)...

 ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???
Thanks. "-a 1" was the fastest option for me so far but i tried "-a 0" again and i am getting ~5200 now.

Is there any way to get more than ~3300cpm out of my 290x ?
I tried it with the latest beta driver but it does not make a difference.

Hey,

thanks for your great miner.

What exactly do i need to mine on Linux?

I am using mainly linux (servers and notebook) so i have no issues with configuring linux but the 290x machine is my gaming pc and runs with windows 8.1 . I want a simple linux installation that runs on a USB device so i can mine at night with the 290x.

Sorry, does it supports multiple instances/machines with the same PTS address??
Yes. Works fine.

New M7i version of PTS miner is available and named yam - Yet Another Miner. Works with ypool.net and other pools that support XPT proto.

yam M7i is complete rewrite of yvg1900 miner and has new cmd line and config options. Check readme.txt and yam.cfg for details.
It is faster on all supported platforms, including Win64, Linux64 and MacOS X 64.
PTS miner re-engineered for better support of different CPUs and now supports large pages on Windows. Check docs for more details.

yam M7i supports config files, backup pool connections, proxy and multiple connection handling improvements that reduce share rejections.
PTS miner now has better fine tuning, more precise stats and supports specifying per-thread memory size as configurable parameter.

yvg1900

Thank you  :D :D :D .
Getting 15-25% more cpm. Great work.

It takes 2-3 days until google enables your trial but it works really great.

edit:

Promo Codes:
1) nrc-org
2) gdg-in

Looks like a pretty good trial, but which promo code do you use? You provided 2 codes.

nrc-org is attached to this http://newrelic.com/

I applied and wrote that I'd be using it to jack it up to 100% CPU usage on various CPU-centric alt cryptocurrencies, purely for profits.  Will let you know the result, etc.

success

well, i also mentioned how i'd be using new relic to monitor my instances

Seems I managed to get I think, just got an email from google with instructions on how to claim the credit. It says upto 2 weeks to get the credit.

I do not remember which code i used.
I got the same mail and it took ~24 hours until i got the credit.

Another hint: you can increase the quota limit. I have 64 cores instead of 24 now.

Same story I did not receive my 1 PTS (2 days and counting).

Blockchain explorer (http://coinplorer.com/PTS) shows that i did not get it so the problem is not with my client.

So i just got the payout for today but yesterdays payout is still missing.

its for accredited companies only, they check it.

So everybody who has a company... works for a company... or knows somebody who works for a company...
Basically everybody who tries it.

I know already 6 people who got the $1000 and they do not have a company.

I did not receive my latest 2 PTS payout ( i am waiting for a full day now).
Could you check it? It shows up in my payout log on ypool but not in my wallet (wallet is up to date and i restarted it several times).

BitShares PTS / Re: Cloud mining
« on: December 07, 2013, 09:52:09 am »
Hello all, I am trying to mine with ptsminer, under Debian 7 on 2 clouds (IaaS) now, and the two of them are saying
"connecting to 54.201.26.128:1337
no connection to the server, reconnecting in 10 seconds"

apparently 1337 port is closed, I tried adding a firewall rule, but that does not seem to fix the problem. The one cloud provider is running Open Stack:

here is how I added the firewall rule:
http://docs.openstack.org/user-guide/content/Launching_Instances_using_Dashboard.html#security_groups_add_rule

Can you help me?

While SSH'd into the server do this.

Code: [Select]
telnet 54.201.26.128 1337

That will tell you if you can hit the port or not.

I tried that and the screen goes blank, I think that I connects, but still when I run the miner, I says no Connection trying to reconnect. This is with ptsbeeer miner, the same goes for the pts coyote miner. Now I am trying to download the cpu miner of pts pool, to see if I will get a result.

Btw, the cloud instance that I am trying is Google Compute Engine, does anyone has experience with that?

I am mining with googles compute engine on ypool without issues.
