BitShares AGS / Re: Some help please
« on: May 17, 2014, 08:45:56 pm »
Please make these steps to get more infos about your donations...

Go to your BitShares-PTS Wallet, then go to ...

1. Help

2. Debug window

3. Console

4. type:         getagsbalance *

I think you will be ok after these 4 steps  ;)

It seems to be ok  :D besides my "normal address" it returned some more including PgN7PNdAiNRH6qCEVPoDy4Ck6VT7SzdoCX

Also I just saw this in http://www1.agsexplorer.com/ags101

I can't find some of donations in my address lookup. (Change Address)
Other variance of this question might be:

My donation is credited to someone else's address!
    My donation is missing!

Many "missing donation" worries of this kind is due to being unfamiliar with the 'Change' concept of Bitcoin or ProtoShare. Your wallet contains many addresses, some are created by you, some are created by wallet itself. Everytime you make one transaction, say you have address A (contains 10BTC), you make 1BTC donation to AGS address(B), the transaction protocal is like this:

(input) Destroy 10BTC in address A
(output) Create 1BTC in address B
(output) Create 9BTC in address C (C is a new address created by your wallet)

Address C is the change address.

The next time you make a transaction, the amount might be deducted from address C, which will be credited AGS.

This is sometimes confusing for general wallet users. Because the behind-scene action is done automatically. When you think you made 2 donations from same address, they actually are not. In the example above, address A and C are both credited AGS.

Every donation made by you will be credited to your address(es) in your wallet. So don't worry. As long as you control your wallet, they are not going anywhere.

BitShares AGS / Some help please
« on: May 17, 2014, 07:43:33 pm »
I made two pts donations last night for angelshares, all went well and I could see my donation address in http://www1.agsexplorer.com/ Today morning I made another donation but this time I could not find my donation address.

I have 7 confirmations so far and this tx ID: b29dc9bb9f5efd7fac6f1dda8e6fc1cea137690e1dcfb4e4d5a863f5113e5314 I checked the tx ID here https://coinplorer.com/PTS/Transactions/b29dc9bb9f5efd7fac6f1dda8e6fc1cea137690e1dcfb4e4d5a863f5113e5314 but I can't see my wallet's address unless I click this address "PgN7PNdAiNRH6qCEVPoDy4Ck6VT7SzdoCX" this address also apears as the donating address in http://www1.agsexplorer.com/ instead of my own address.

Im a little confused, is anything wrong here?

In case you havn't noticed yet the majority doesnt want to change or alter the name, you are in the "weak" blockchain fork.

So, please leave the name alone unless you have good arguments. And dont forget that keyhotee's true power will come from what it will offer to its users, this is revolulotionary, so please stop trying to treat it like a normal mail service that needs a "good" name in order to succeed. Keyhotee is doomed to SUCCED and already has the best name IMO.

Apology for poor english.

Your English is not bad at all.  Just a few misspellings, no grammatical errors.

But to the point: It's actually not that simple!  Currently 28 people want to change the name (given the 3 choices, none of which were all that great IMHO) while 24 want to keep it.  So the majority actually wants to change it, they just didn't agree on what to change it to.

It's like we have 3-4 forks in a cryptocurrency each trying to change something different, their total hash power may be greater than the hashpower of the original blockchain but none of them can force their changes to the original blockchain.

Whats wrong with people trying to rename everything? So far I'm not convinced that any name would be better than Bitshares Lotto, its simple and you get the point. Also we cant start renaming everything with no good reason, this can only create more confusion.

Leave the name alone, Keyhotee is the perfect name.

If I understood right, you propose to prepare a cd/dvd with all the "information package" and actually mail it?

Today I believe this method will not work.
All the information can be found on the web, quick, easy, cheap. I believe the new website will be ready soon and I think it can serve this role, with some press coverage it could work perfect.

Who in his sane mind would buy bts at 100$ ??? ??  :-X

I remember asking a friend of mine "Who in his right might would pay 7$ for a bitcoin??"
I'm really not trying to be sarcastic or anything.

Your friend would be right if you asked him back in 2009!

I have no doubt that bts will be worth ALOT more than 100$ but it will take a lot of time to  reach that price. I would advice extreme caution to anyone that would like to trade at this price.
