General Discussion / Re: New Stealth Transfer Worker ($1000)
« on: November 24, 2015, 01:27:00 am »
I would also strongly recommend that we open up this deal to "crowd fund" a UIA with a buyback plan. This way onceuponatime can diversify his risk and we can have an "equal opportunity" policy.  I don't want anyone accusing us of playing favorites.  By being equal opportunity we should auction it off.  Raise as much BTS as possible to fund it and then burn the rest.  This way the network gets a proper market-determined-price for this revenue stream.

Just some ideas.

Stakeholder Proposals / Re: Stealth Transfers Worker Proposal

About price tag: right now Bitcoin is paying a little bit less than 50 000 dollars per hour for miners. So we get this feature for less than one hour of bitcoin mining, I think that is quite cheap price.

I never looked at it like that. Good point!

lol

So please calculate now... how much "hours of bitcoin mining" it will take to evaporate bitshares marketcap

Asking for money for futures we had is so surrealistic...  (even if we only had the illusion we had it)...

I use Mozilla and when trying to visit https://obits/io I get this message...  (any comment on that?)

Update another lifetime upgrade, I'm now missing 18000 bitshares in vesting. Starting to get expensive for cryptonomex.

is "cryptonomex" your nickname ?   ???

One of the truest criticisms of bts to date has been the constant change preventing businesses from being built atop it.

Is anybody here that don't agree with this? (Don't answer... it's a rhetoric question)

Thanks a lot for your detailed reply liondani.
Can I run CLI on windows?

I never used windows for bitshares but it is possible ...
go there... https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/releases
and download "BitShares-2.15.306-x64-cli-tools.exe" https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/releases/download/v2.0.151101/BitShares-2.15.306-x64-cli-tools.exe
here is the windows light client https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/releases/download/v2.0.151101/BitShares-light_2.0.151111.exe

You are welcome my friend  ;)

I have installed the new Bitshare 2.0 GUI, But it seems that it is not complete yet so let me know how can Install a full node CLI bitshare?
Every link on the bitshares sites only guide to the GUI and not a CLI interface!

begin with...
http://docs.bitshares.eu/bitshares/installation/Build.html

then...

after building bitshares-2
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get update
cd ~/bitshares-2/programs/witness_node
./witness_node --rpc-endpoint=127.0.0.1:8090
when you are synced, run a new terminal instance on linux and ...
Code: [Select]
cd ~/graphene/programs/cli_wallet

./cli_wallet
or
Code: [Select]
./cli_wallet  -s ws://127.0.0.1:8090
https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/wiki/How%20to%20become%20an%20active%20witness%20in%20BitShares%202.0#creating-a-wallet

some links that could help....

https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene/wiki/CLI-Wallet-Cookbook

https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/blob/bitshares/README.md
replace https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2.git instead of https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene.git
and folder "bitshares-2" instead "graphene" on instructions...

Since we don't have the resources to build something like that, we need to make it easy for third parties to interface with the api and hook up their systems.

At the very least the api should be made as friendly as possible for people wanting to write bots..
