General Discussion / Re: Whale Powered Assets
« on: April 18, 2016, 07:38:51 am »
Maybe the whale could burn all dilution related Bts.

WOW !!!  I think we are now close...

Here is a good question someone just PM'd me.... could someone answer it cause I don't know (remember, I'm 5)....

I presume these values need to be replaced with something else, is that right?

Code: [Select]

--miner='["account1","5WIF1"]' --witness='"account1"' \
--miner='["account2","5WIF2"]' --witness='"account2"' \
--miner='["account3","5WIF3"]' --witness='"account3"' \

How do you create the accounts? I assume the 5WIFn are the private keys for those accounts, correct?

./steemd --rpc-endpoint
on a new terminal (or screen)

cd programs/cli_wallet
new >>> set_password "PASSWORD"
locked >>> unlock "PASSWORD"
unlocked >>> import_key "WIF KEY starting with 5..."
unlocked>>> get_account "youraccountname"

make 3 times brainkey so you import 3 different priv.keys
choose whatever account names you want without creating them... after your miners mine some steems you will get them...
use 3 witness, 3 miners with dif. keys (optimal setting )

bitcoinfan has sent more than 20 mil BTS to poloniex. Massive dump coming  :(

He waits a little pump before he unloads, so he will "not get noticed"  :P

This was a very exciting interview!

I've never done mining before. I think I could cobble together a GPU miner but it sounds like I could do CPU mining as well.

Could someone explain (like I'm 5) what steps I need to mine steem? Or point me in the right direction anyway....  :)

it's a good start...[member=17242]pharesim[/member]/ubuntu-14-04-miner-setup

apt-get update
apt-get upgrade -y
apt-get install -y git build-essential cmake libssl-dev autoconf autotools-dev doxygen libncurses5-dev libreadline-dev libtool screen libicu-dev libbz2-dev graphviz
cd /home/ubuntu
tar xjf ./boost_1_57_0.tar.bz2
cd boost_1_57_0

./b2 install > /dev/null
export BOOST_ROOT=/opt/boost_1_57_0
cd ..
git clone
cd steem
git submodule update --init --recursive
cmake .
make -j36
cd programs/steemd/
screen -S steem -dm ./steemd --mining-threads=36 --seed-node='' --seed-node='' --seed-node='' --rpc-endpoint \

--miner='["account2","5WIF2"]' --witness='"account2"' \
--miner='["account3","5WIF3"]' --witness='"account3"' \

Steem has vesting/lock up I believe so it does require a lot of long term faith in the founder/s. As I said regarding vesting earlier in the year...

Could they not profit dollars instantly just by voting topics everyday? What am I missing?

PS Well I could... steem it!  :D

Maybe you can get on some smaller exchanges, but with a well documented shitshow like this, the first person to clone your coin will be able to leverage anything new (if any) you put into it.
Hell, I might even do it. You can watch me fuck you with your own work.

The "coin" is currently under license...

steem it !

if they're afraid of selling pressure they can vest the sharedrop for even years

 +5% +5% +5%

BitShares is in the hands of mere mortal entrepreneurs like you and me now.
And we are exactly what it needs at this point in time.

if you mean ME and YOU ... I am not excited  :-X

He didn't quit. He was fired by those voting against development workers.

Yep right... and after he was fired he got instant-enlightened and came to the STEEM plan-b idea ...  Cm-on...
