MemoryCoin / Re: How to calculate MMC stats?
« on: December 28, 2013, 07:55:14 pm »
1. see TiGei99 4.
2. it uses kimotos gravity well from megacoin. block time is around 6 minutes, diff calculation is dynamic. i would propose just showing the average block time from the last 5 or 10 blocks
3. reward is -5% every 1680 blocks

3---> Whats the initial reward?

MemoryCoin / How to calculate MMC stats?
« on: December 28, 2013, 05:26:19 pm »
UPDATE: The bot is up and running in #memorycoin and ##mmc-spam on freenode.

Hi I need some in-depth information on the MMC network.

Please, can anyone answer me some of the following questions as accurate as possible.

Some questions seem to be trivial but I need a complete overview in here.
  • How to see/calculate current block height, difficulty and reward?
  • Whats the difficulty retarget time/mechanism? How to calculate next diff if possible?
  • Whats the reward retarget mechanism? Is it the same as in PTS?
  • How to find out how many MMC are already minted?
  • Is it possible to calculate network hashrate from blocktime? If so, how? If not, how else?
  • How to calculate the estimated time to find a block solo based on own hashrate?
  • Which exchanges accept MMC and where can I find the API?
I'm working on a better IRC-bot currently and need as much information as possible.

Thanks
--- donSchoe

PS:    8. What else do you want the bot to "know"?

Edit: Thanks for answering most of the questions already!

I am getting error

 "/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lboost_chrono
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [ptsminer] Error 1
"

Kindly help.

What are you trying to do?

Use the "no-chrono" makefile or remove the line containing chrono from your makefile.

How does that work. Do we have to upgrade clients?

What is the minimum amount of protoshares in the private key when importing to mmc 2.0?

0.00000010 PTS = 0.00000001 MMC
That should be the minimum.

you're running it under linux! Any how to !?

Quote
git clone https://github.com/memorycoin/memorycoin.git
cd memorycoin
mkdir build
cd build
cmake ..

Considering the number of people at Vegas looking to throw money our way, the most successful way to do so would be by capturing money currently being waisted at Amazon, DO, and your electric company.

Thoughts?

This is one of your worst ideas ever. This would exclude anyone who is not rich as shit.

I dont have bitcoins, I dont have AWS or DO, all I have is my mining hardware at home.

So I guess people like me are the losers in this round.

BitShares PTS / Re: Confirmation time, is this normal?
« on: December 11, 2013, 10:23:04 pm »
PTS generally has a slow confirmation time.

But yes, ypool is probably the cause for the massive delays. A while ago I noticed a bug in my code that caused blocks that have many transactions get declined by the network, as a hotfix I simply disabled that mempool transactions are added to the blocks mined by ypool. Since then I didn't have a single second to implement the correct fix. As you all are likely aware, ypool has been pestered by various attacks, hardware problems and annoying providers. Now that it all has calmed down I finally have some time to implement the fix.

Be aware that transaction confirmation works as always, it's just the accept to block phase that is delayed. No reason for panic.

Is this the ypool wallet? http://coinplorer.com/PTS/Addresses/PpXRMhz5dDHtFYpbDTpiAMJaVarMUJURT6
I still see only one tx per block. Did the miners not upgrade yet?

WTF jh is auch deutscher?!

Looks like we killed http://btsblock.com/chain/ProtoShares. Is there another way to check what block we are on?

There is also http://coinplorer.com/PTS available.

And the IRC bot on freenode:

Code: [Select]
23:06:06       @donschoe | .pts
23:06:06      +sternburg | Protoshares Network Block: 31952, Difficulty: 0.00647256, Reward: 23.16456, Minted: 1121663.

48 to go...

General Discussion / Re: How many protoshares are there currently?
« on: December 10, 2013, 10:24:58 am »
Well current reward is 23.16456 PTS/block and next diff will be 0.01151819 (+77.95%).

1,100,791.00 PTS = 22,662,067.10 USD = 17,685,672.55 EUR = 24,569.65512 BTC = 686,494.97402 LTC = 4,325,643.50704 PPC = 4,953,559.50 XPM.

But still we are getting faster to 1.5 Million than expected.
