General Discussion / Re: Coingrounds PTS / BTC Exchange
« on: November 10, 2013, 09:29:35 pm »
Your wish is my command (bid, ask, last). If you're going to query it a bunch, please donate to the donation address on the site to balance out the extra server costs so I can keep it going, thanks!

https://www.coingrounds.com/api/ticker

thanks a lot, but its currently impossible for me to access it.

can you fix this link?
https://coingrounds.com/api/ticker

or add WWW.coingrounds.com to your CERT? It's impossible for my bot to access the API right now.

THanks!

I am also a big fan of the text only web site.

How to run https://github.com/thbaumbach/ptsminer on Ubuntu 12.04.3 x64?

You have to compile it
Code: [Select]
git pull https://github.com/thbaumbach/ptsminer.git ptsminer
cd ptsminer/src/
make -f makefile.unix
for detailled instructions on dependencies see this thread: http://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=798.0
(just replace primecoin with protoshares)

Could you add an API like this?

https://btc-e.com/api/2/btc_usd/ticker

xolo - I like your pool, its been working good since you released it.

Questions about the fork
When will you switch over? Do miners need to do anything like restart all clients?

What do you think of the 2 hour notice to discuss the fork?

Beeeeer pool already switched to new fork, miner clients are updated, make sure you use v0.4

http://btsblock.com/chain/ProtoShares

Bitfish, is there any way to access a block by its height directly?

I tried both, but it does not work:
http://ptspool.com/?q=12096
http://ptspool.com/block/12096

@bytemaster, is there any web frontend yet?

Can anyone explain why iam unable to get find my PTS adress? the qt client is connected to the network, but the btsblock.com site says "Address not seen on the network."...?

Is your balance > 0?
Was it ever involved in any transaction?

If you answer both questions with NO, the address was never seen on the network.

443
is there any way to see your ballance?

go to latest payout http://ptsweb.beeeeer.org/payout/11873
hit ctrl+f search for your address until you find it in block "next" or "payout".

payout = your pts are sent to you and your balance is 0.
next = your balance if not paid out.

BTC-e very strange exchange with high volume, they keep NVC and really add new coins only when coin come to top list of coins with high capitalization

well high capitalization? pts will be the next then :D

Any mining tools out there for mac?  https://github.com/donSchoe/ptsminer did not help...I made the makefile.osx not crash instantly and tracked down all the right libraries to link against (and in some cases had to link by hand...darn you berkeley-db 4.8!) but the binary for pts miner never came through...all it did was compile bitcoind.

Maybe I'm stupid (I'm sure as heck not much of a programmer), but, is there anything out there for pool mining on a mac?

use https://github.com/thbaumbach/ptsminer it has a fixed makefile.osx

General Discussion / Re: How many protoshares are there currently?
« on: November 10, 2013, 03:08:06 pm »
Right now:

Minted: 524,021.07623.
Value per PTS: 1.20 USD.
Market cap: 628,825.29 USD

To create a chart, someone could parse the PTS block explorer. The historic market cap will be difficult as there is no exchange and historical data on value of pts.

PTSPool by donschoe:

Hi, I'm not running PTSPool. I just helped distributing the source code for ptsminer.

I don't even know who is running the pool.

I get invalid target error message when I hit OK after editing shortcut, following is target text:

"C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My Documents\economics\bitshares\mining\pool\ptsminer 0.1\ptsminer\ptsminer_x64.exe -pooluser=1r5HkuYdqC44R4EJznsf4zFnT4h82EgXnA -poolpassword=0 -poolip=54.238.185.113 -poolport=2336 -genproclimit=4"

Windows XP 64 bit

Try using a PTS address, not BTC :)

The linux version seems to work well, 93%-100% valid. But the hashpermin is low, it started ~8-9hpm, has gone as low as 1.5hpm, and is now hovering consistently around 3.5-3.8 hpm. Linux 64bit, 8CPU, 16GB, 799% CPU, 34% MEM; 8 processes.

Is that hashpermin about right? I was expecting ~20.

No the hashes/min output is bugged.

Just checked and for me it seems that there is less rejects but hashrate is much lower than the other client (does it just hide rejected shares?) - overall the same :)
i was wondering that too about the rejects possibly hiding, but i think it's something he's done on his pool.

my stats:

VL: 2687 (99.4%), RJ: 15 (0.6%), ST: 0 (0.0%)

there is no much space to hide rejects. i made a lot PTS tonight on beeeeer pool, it's working so much better than pts pool.
