The Clutter fund has not received 50,000 BTS donation from Stan and or anybody else as of yet.
But it will soon enough receive such donations. Stan just needs to see our great idea!

How the clutter fund works – it gives 4% of all donations received to people that start threads with high gambling value at random places in this forum. Threads like this ‘Guess the price of BTSX at 10:07am Pacific time on exchange X, The winner wins – Y BTSX.’

So post your account ID here and start a thread.

All thread starters will split 4% of all donations to the clutter fund.

General Discussion / DACs vs. Firms vs. Proponents
« on: July 17, 2014, 07:22:54 am »
After laying out their ideas.... are DAC/Firm proponents of little or no value?

Example: Truthcoin.
Can the original creator contribute  SIGNIFICANTLY more value to her DAC/Firm?

Imho, - No, he can not.

Let me hear from you why he is still valuable.

General Discussion / What shorting adds to the economy?
« on: June 25, 2014, 03:13:21 pm »
[Admins Feel free to move appropriate sub forum]

Maybe I will answer this question (short version)

Some market simply cannot exist without one side being short and the other being long.

Examples include futures, options, bitAssets on BTS X.

Those markets provide valuable products:

-BTS X with its bitUSD will provide the advantages of the crypto currencies with the price stability of the dollar.

-Futures – One Important segment of the economy (the one that feed is all literally) - the farmers, also struggle with big movements in the price of their product. Even worst, all of their product comes at the same time. We have all the supply in one month and the demand spread throughout the year. Guess what will happens with the price when for example all the corns come to the market at the same time. Future allow the farmers to fix and hedge their price at a (profitable) chosen by them level and secure that they will get no more no less than that price. They achieve that by going short the required number of futures contract equal to the amount of product they expect to produce.

General Discussion / # of trolls – a good or a bad sign.
« on: June 23, 2014, 04:31:29 pm »
Do you think the sudden surge of trolls and/or generally negative posts is result of Bitshares reaching a critical point in its development(which would be good) or something else(possibly bad)?

Random Discussion / where are you from
« on: June 22, 2014, 07:49:30 am »
I tend to be harsh (harsher/more open, than expected/appropriate in the US society today,

I'm curious about where you're from now, if you don't mind my asking.

I have spent quite some time answering your questions in the last 2 day… This one is the hardest yet… The answer is:
‘I do not know…'
‘Can I just answer by saying where I live now?’ , or 'where I was born' or 'where I grew up' or ‘What place influenced me the most in my development?’

????

If my wallet is not one unconnected/ill-uninformed piece of ****, it sure should be…

With 764.5395 PTS donated already and only about 20 PTS coming at the moment it could be better than 5.00 AGS/PTS day! Wait and see!

General Discussion / Limit of # of orders per block
« on: June 20, 2014, 03:58:28 pm »
Are you/we planning to limit the number of orders per block that each client/wallet can place?

If yes to how much, 1?

DACs are for those who need freedom.
One of the frivolous things the governments and big corporations do is add taxes and fees on everything you can imagine… Here is a list of the fees that you will have to pay to participate in our DACs. We keep them to a minimum as you will see:

A. Other parties fees to acquire BTS

- (international) wire transfer fee 50$ (paid to the bank we do not control that)

-exchange deposit fee (paid to the exchange we do not control that)

- transaction fee (to buy BTC paid to the exchange we do not control that);

-transfer fee to the other exchange that actually sells BTS(to BTC miners we do not control that)

- transaction fee (to buy BTS with your BTC paid to the exchange we do not control that);

B. Our fees
So you are a happy owner of BTS, here we come…
If you actually want to use your BTS for something expect

-transaction fee – when you trade;

-inactivity fee – when you do not trade;

-lazy trader’s fee *1 – hidden fee when you do not match precisely the bid ask price

-liquidation fee – when you trade but you lose too much!

-inappropriate currency fee (when you do not have money in the appropriate currency to pay your other fees)

-delegate registration fee (if you think you are a smart ass and can get some of the other poples fees)

Coming soon:
-Lazy voter’s fee (addition to the inactivity fee for those that do not trade, or trade but not vote)

C.  More other parties fees

If you are not lucky enough to end your day with bitUSD (hopefully tradable for USD directly) you will have to experience the fees in A. in reverse order….

*1 – if you want to buy 10 bitUSD at 1.00 bitUSD/BTS and there are 2 ask orders - one for 5 bitUSD @ 1.00 bitUSD/BTS and another for  5 bitUSD @ 1.03 bitUSD/BTS – to avoid the lazy trader’s fee you must place 2 separate order for 5 bitUSD each.

Technical Support / Can I see unconfirmed transactions?
« on: June 18, 2014, 07:34:09 pm »
PTS/ protoshares-qt; Windows question

How do you see all (not just yours) unconfirmed (transmitted but not included in a block) transactions?

 Thanks.

Now that DPOS is pretty close to being ready, why not test it as 90% airdrop on LTC (90/5/5 LTC/PTS/AGS)?

-One should not be concerned even with massive dump – it is not some core DAC that needs to preserve value;
- Much bigger test base (as number of transactions/participants etc.)
-The non-inflation feature of DPOS vs POW combined with the very low dilution of LTS might just work and bring significant benefits from something that we planned for just as a DPOS test run.

[Edit] The name is not important at all. You can call it DPOS Coin...
