Just in general I don't you can do this in the US without being an accredited investor yet. At least in a stock type scenario. I think it would have to modeled initially like a  KickStarter style crowd fund. Of course  I am not an expert.

If you release notes on the bts chain, then after the snapshot to the new chain what happens to old notes on the bts chain?

There are parameters to registering them, but are there any parameters to removing them? Or possibly some kind of countdown for which at a certain time of being offline they are just removed from the network? I would suggest something like 1 month perhaps.

I think the vote counts are going up because of everyone moving their BTS out of the exchanges.

Maybe there can be something like a 5% or 10% reduction in their applied vote count for every 30 days of inactivity. Now, how do you define inactivity?

Now that I think more about it, there should be a point system outside of votes by which standby delegates can ranked. They earn points over time for using some metrics that way the best quialified standbys are ones picked.

I dont think it based on the bottom 5 delegates. It should be based on the ones that are not fulfilling there technical duty of producing blocks and securing the network.

It can be random for the standbys, but weighted towards any of 101 who are missing blocks, not providing price feeds, and running out dated versions.

Why is it so hard to have a single place with regular updates and a roadmap????? Isn't this the point of the PR person? I know they claim look at Github, but not everyone is tech fluid. Could there be a place outside of github and forums that just post this stuff. How about a section the bitshares.org site called updates or progress reports.  It doesn't have to be daily. How about every Tuesday a summary can be posted of the past weeks progress or setbacks and what's coming up.

IT SHOULD NOT BE THIS COMPLICATED!!!!!!!!!
