Keyhotee / Re: Connecting Keyhotee and Protoshares
« on: November 14, 2013, 11:55:30 pm »
If there's going to be multiple bitshares chains that honor protoshares then I'm definitely not going to sell out, they're far to valuable. A few protoshares times several bitshares chains = a whole lot of bitshares  :)
Exactly, although remember that they're unlikely to release several bitshares chains and if there's a competition from someone else, they're unlikely to honor protoshares unless they hold a LOT of protoshares themselves. But it's not just bitshares, there are other DACs in the future too.

Bitshares will have a BUNCH of new chains forking from it, GoldShares, USDShares, etc. all will be forked from Bitshares, so even just focusing on Bitshare derivatives there is an enormous future payoff.

Mrodstein was accused by at least two people of being a scammer and when I was brought in to escrow a transaction, the seller put up PTS but Mrodstein disappeared never sent the PTS, I eventually bought the escrowd amount

Mrodstein sent that to you?  Wow.

I haven't had any fraud requests yet, will keep my eye out.

Also, before you gawk at the price too much or complain about only making 5pts per day with your desktop computer, look at what you get from PTS and think of ANY other cryptocurrency out there that offers ANYTHING like it

I am going to chime in here with some clarity for all involved.

1) All chains Invictus launches will be derived from ProtoShares with a 1:1 mapping and 10% of the ultimate money supply of that chain.
2) ProtoDomains may Split from ProtoShares prior to the Launch of DomainShares so that it can be traded and valued separately.
3) Keyhotee ID is not a currency, there is no way to map ProtoShares into Keyhotee ID (the name chain)
4) There will be many BitShares based chains, not one, and all of them will be 1:1 with ProtoShares
5) We reserve the right to release ProtoShares v2 that honors 100% of ProtoShares v1 with 100% of the money supply allocated.
6) Associated Press, DAC would honor ProtoShares

Exceptions to the ProtoShares honoring would be if we decided to release a true competitor to be used as a money-only coin and not a trading platform.  In this case we may choose to honor the initial positions in ALL existing *-coin chains proportional to their market cap.

I want to make it very clear that at no time will we 'reset the clock' for a new chain and owning ProtoShares today does get you ownership in everything we do in the future either directly or indirectly.

Recent increases in PTS mining difficulties means bassically that many of the supporters of this project are going to get practically nothing.
With a modern CPU (i7) we can now get around 2-5 PTS a day. That is NOTHING.
Now tell me how we could operate on bitshares or keyhotee if even to acquire a simple name you need 100PTS?
And if we have to exchange or buying anything using Bitcoin, oh boy, this is the most expensive service ever created. 0.25BTC for a single name or 0.01BTC for 1PTS?

There is no way this can work, and you're now starting to lose supporters because of your greed.

I think you've misunderstood the Keyhotee Founder program - If you DONATE (was 100) 10PTS to Invictus, you get your first pick of names and you never have to mine it.  But you can still have a name in Keyhotee without buying it if you just wait until the Nameshares chain launches, then you'll be able to mine whatever name you want with about an hour of time on your computer per year.

So that's not the price of a name, there is no price - you can't buy them, you mine for them.  Or you donate to Invictus and get put in the Genesis block.

BitShares PTS / Re: How many PTS do you have

Protoshares represent a unique investing opportunity in cryptocurrency as the first backed, revolving dividend bearing crypto.

I believe Donschoe said the largest wallets he'd seen had about 20k in them.  I can confirm I did single buyer orders at 20k quantities when the price was .003-.004 to individuals who are very unlikely to sell and are not affiliated with Invictus.

You do see the PTS has skyrocketed to second place in price only to LTC right?  That's happening because the people buying lots of PTS want to hold them so they get Bitshares and other types of things later.  That real future value IS the reason why PTS is valuable and the other cryptos you describe are not.  If you have a big network like Bitcoin that can be an asset unto itself, a whole lot of people to trade, but for follow-ons it clearly isn't enough.

Litecoin is the perfect example of this, the great hope is for it to get onto an exchange where... more people will be able to speculate that more people are going to want to speculate on it.   It's circular logic and greater fool investing.

Just calling your protoshare fork protoshares will fail if it's just an altcoin that forked from a different codebase.  What's special here is the commitment of a real company to deliver a real product, find me another coin out there trying what Invictus has created - You won't find one.

It has to be more than "good as money" because the same is true of any cryptocurrency and very much more true of Bitcoin with its large network and notoriety feeding its lead on the competition every day.     The amazing part about protoshares wasn't they were easy to mine for a minute, but rather that they have a clear point of value distribution at fairly predictable points in the future and barring complete failure of the project, the value of the cryptocurrency is secured by peoples best guesses of the future value of those disbursements.

Protoshares is backed by Invictus's products to come - What will your DAC fork be backed by?

We will get a real "frenesi" when PTS gets accepted by one of the 3 majors exchangers.

Stay tuned for next week :)

That's great to hear, I think the potential value of protoshares is Berkshire-Hathaway stock huge.
