General Discussion / upcoming presentation
« on: September 21, 2015, 03:38:12 am »
For an upcoming presentation, could anyone assist me find screenshots of the following applications that plug into Graphene blockchains:

Graphene test net markets,
Bitshares 2.0 markets (if available?)
DacX's markets or wallet,
Open Ledgers markets,
Play's wallet or games,
El Mato's mobile wallet, and
Any other application that plugs into a Graphene blockchain.

Thanks in advance!

General Discussion / Bitsharestalk migrated within Tapatalk
« on: July 27, 2015, 04:47:49 pm »
I thought Tapatalk and btstalk were having problems this morning. Turns out the forum had been redirected within the Tapatalk app.  If anyone else has this problem, I downloaded the new bitsharestalk and now it's working.

Going to guess this has to do with @bitsapphire if there are any questions

Are we on track to be the backbone of these fintech apps and in what ways could we integrate?

General Discussion / BitShares Derivatives Market
« on: March 25, 2015, 12:37:33 pm »
Is there any plan to build a BitShares derivatives market? Currently it seems the BitShares market is mostly describable as a currency market for currency-derivatives.

Modern day derivative markets require 1-2% collateral for stable assets.  This is the 700 trillion dollar market place many in BTS talk about, however, the current BTS exchange is not actually built similarly enough to replace this market because it's not built to operate that way.

To clarify, I am not asking if we will be able to short MPAs into existence with less than 300% collateral. I am asking if MPAs will eventually be able to be used in a Blockchain based derivatives market that functions like modern day derivative markets that require only 1-2% collateral.

Appreciate finding out if this is in the roadmap.  Thanks!

General Discussion / bitShares 101 - bitShares tv videos
« on: March 20, 2015, 12:41:28 am »
These videos are so on point, I showed a derivatives expert the "What is the BTS Decentralized Exchange" and "How do bitAssets like bitUSD work?" videos and he was amazed. Thank you Max.  When it's time - I can't wait to see these get marketed.

Hello Chinese,

What is the reason btc38 and yunbi have not gotten gateway licenses for bitCNY to CNY?

Could this work even better on the Bts network? A reputation and trust system combined with peer to peer lending ... http://m.fastcompany.com/3042591/with-puddle-you-can-build-your-own-online-credit-network-with-your-peers

General Discussion / Website Header
« on: January 29, 2015, 06:04:54 pm »
The website header says

BitShares Decentralized Exchange.

We need to know if this is actually better for conversions than

BitShares Blockchain-based Exchange

"Decentralized" will hinder adoption imo!  We need to be about marketing to everyone that visits our site, and not scare off non radicals.  bm please acknowledge this concern

General Discussion / Making Sales for BitShares
« on: January 06, 2015, 12:12:47 am »
BitShares Bulls, remember that the success of BitAssets automatically increases the value of BitShares - Bitcoin and XPY speculation is bullshit, and we don't need to do business their way because we actually have products.

We need to sell our products.
What are our products?
Our Products are BitAssets.

Who wants BitAssets?
Hint ... It's not the people with USD.

Tl;dr - Pushing BitShares is exactly like pushing Bitcoin, it's not right, it's selfish, and it doesn't make sense for the people of the world, and it won't make sense to push BitShares until BTS is primed to become the world currency, and that won't happen until we soak up the world's value through BitAssets.

Let's sell BitAssets!

What is the command for reindexing database?

I was asked to reindex today, after crashing last night, but I opted not to.  Now I am getting a failure during transaction scanning and not connected.

General Discussion / forum members - fakes
« on: November 27, 2014, 12:38:22 am »
Are any mods actively trying to delete fake members?

I just looked up a fake that appeared months ago... GGellert, and it's still here

If not, I can see the positive in letting the forum member count increase, but the negative is it's not accurate for anyone trying to analyze the forum
