It's been 12+ hour. Any raw recordings yet?

or someone can just confirm fuzzy did not bother asking my questions.[no censorship, just the 'no time for them' excuse]

Testzcrypto on soundcloud has one.

Yeah look at how many projects Ethereum has racked against how many bitshares has.  Ethereum has a higher rate of project growth than Bitshares.  Your competing over entreprenurs.  And so far most of the entreprenurs are flocking to Ethereum.

Eth attracts lots of devs cause it's a total sandbox but not so many devs with business plans.  We can pull more talent once we begin to show the money.

Great initiative. Sounds like we need a BitShares specific presentation deck

The best way to get people to get to use a new payment medium is to send them money and then give them a simple path to claim it. Let's say I owe a friend $30. I should be able to send it to their phone number or email address. This would then generate a notification to their email or phone giving them a link. When they click on the link, it would walk them through a registration and allow them to claim the funds by depositing bitUSD into their newly created account.
Devs are on it .. AFAIK new faucet will do exactly this!

Hey xeroc,   Where can we find this bytemaster post? Link in the references seems to be broken

General Discussion / Re: Number of Trades in Crypto

found a good source for number of trades: http://data.bitcoinity.org/markets/tradespm/5y?c=e&r=week&t=a

Could still use input on average fee per transaction .. it varies across exchanges and by business model .. so is there a good way of estimating an average?

Could someone provide one of the following figures for an upcoming presentation that will have revenue estimates:

Number of trades on a specific exchange per day, month or year.
Number of trades in all of crypto per day, month or year.
Average fee per trade for one or more specific exchanges.

Thanks in advance!

General Discussion / Reducing Bitshares Supply : A different approach
« on: October 22, 2015, 04:11:11 am »
Would the exchange burn more total fees if it used the full fee togo toward 50% freebieserver profit 50% referrer payout? What I mean is that the internet marketers could bring more transactions to your exchange and the net effect could be more coins burned than would have been without paying referrers.  Maybe I missed something... didnt get through the whole thread before posting .. General Discussion / Re: Sovereign Man
« on: October 19, 2015, 11:16:20 pm »

Has any one heard of Sovereign Man?  They have 100,000 subscribers...
I'll forward this to four guys you know who have such skills and see which one lands the 100,000 members referral fee first.

By the way Stan.  The guys who lands Sovereign Man or little niche site with 5 customers gets the exact same $80.  Sovereign man gets 100k x $80, not the Bitshares enthusiast who landed the big fish. That is why when I designed this it was a two tier system. There is zero incentive to land big fish through this referral system. There is incentive in bitshares appreciation but that was there before.

The two tier system would definitely be great if it could be implemented well.  If I remember right, it wasn't possible to keep it from being gamed, although I'm not sure who it affected negatively.

I believe it was the concern of looking like a pyramid was the reason to not.

I hope that was not the only reason.
