1000$ Google Cloud Compute Starter Pack

https://cloud.google.com/developers/starterpack/

It takes 2-3 days until google enables your trial but it works really great.

edit:

Promo Codes:
1) nrc-org
2) gdg-in

Looks like a pretty good trial, but which promo code do you use? You provided 2 codes.

The Amazon page for the free $100 credit appears to have 404'd.

Would anyone be interested in a post outlining all of the cloud computing services that offer free trials that can be used for mining?

These are the ones I found that are worth mining PTS on, others I found are a few days only and very very low specs.

Wouldn't a liquid cooler do the job of cooling it?

I have mined on nividia in the past, though not in AWS EC2, so I do talk from experience :)

I know nvidia GPUs are garbage in mining I am just testing it out. I've never mined using a GPU.

Basically trying to mine scrypt coins using a GPU.

No offense but if you have never mined on a  nvidia GPU it won't work. This will be done on amazon EC2 service and I get charged a hourly rate. I wasted quite abit trying to figure it out, so looking for someone that knows how to set it up without problems.

If you have did it before let me know.

Thanks.

Random Discussion / (Bounty) Help with installing a GPU miner.

Hey guys, i know this isn't related to PTS mining but I really need help. I've spent 2 days trying to mine using a GPU but nothing is working for me.

I am testing it on an amazon EC2 instance, a GPU instance. It runs nvidia GPU cards (Tesla) and I tried cgminer.

I followed the guide with the miner but getting errors and doing everything told in the guide but with no luck.

Anyone that can successfully set it up and get it running will get 1 PTS.

Please only people who actually used it before with nvidia GPU cards.

Private message me or post here if you can help me out.

Thank you.

General Discussion / Re: PTS has shot UP

PTS is doing great, happy to see it break the 10$ mark. Should only go up from here while supply deceases and difficulty goes up. Holding onto my PTS for now, my only regret is not being able to have had more due to my small budget. Sitting on 2000$ worth of PTS feels pretty good especially when it was a 15$ investment.

Nice guide very informative, will post a link to my thread.

I was wondering I am doing some tests and was wondering if you know how to mine a GPU (scrypt miner) on the amazon EC2 GPU instances?

Trying Cgminer and spent literally 7 hours, I've tried everything but it won't work. I've noticed alot of figured it out but their guides seem outdated.

If you know how to setup or know someone that can please let me know.

I'll donate 1 PTS for help, preferably over teamviewer (I'll have a amazon EC2 GPU instance ready to go) I prefer Ubuntu but windows is also ok.

you can set a billing alert, set at 90$ so when you owe them 90$ you get a email and then you can terminate most and leave one running.

will the alarm work even though I'm using the instances for the last 30 hours and still shows 0 credits used?

I think every day your usage charges are updated or after a hour or two after you close your instances.

I think calculating manually would be better, try contacting amazon and asking about it. I'm not entirely sure sorry.

Looks like PTS is the only altcoin down !! See: http://coinmarketcap.com/

Others are flying like rockets but PTS is down ?

Not good ! but maybe opportunity ?  ;D

We have just made arrangements that will dramatically increase awareness of PTS in the media and outside the Bitcoin sphere.   PTS is undervalued because no one knows how to value it.   The fact that Novacoin, Feathercoin, and Megacoin are currently trading for more than PTS when their entire value proposition is as a competitor to BTC shows lack of awareness.

Fortunately there are now many people that have financial incentive to increase awareness and we will soon have a revamped marketing and public image.

Well I don't think its undervalued and I don't think its preforming bad.

Look at the other coins that are going up, how long have they been online? PTS is not even a month old and already reached a 7 million dollar cap!

The other coins above it already have millions upon millions of coins already mined. PTS doesn't even have a million and its competing with them.

Those coins being pumped will crash eventually.

Current price stable between 7$-9$. There hasn't been alot of cryptocurrencies that started and were worth this much. PTS has been online almost less than a month and already competing with the old coins that have been online for several years. PTS isn't like other coins you need to remember that so being worth 1$ or 100$ doesn't really matter that much but offcourse the higher it is the faster its going to be mined.
