bytemaster, what time are you planning on doing payouts each day?

every 24 hours. I think in about 7-8 hours to go.

Are people still making a killing with this?
Through various providers, I got a few free VMs to test, some of them have pretty good specs (like on Azure), but I get maybe 5PTS a day... Unless PTS go crazy high I'm not sure how interesting this is... especially when I will have to pay...

What are the things I'm missing to make this profitable?

It was much better a couple days ago when difficulty was 0.000120 instead of 0.000514

If your looking for a short term profit then this won't work, if you think PTS will be worth alot in the future than using to mine would work.

I tried their 32 core server was getting 500 col/min. Wonder how much PTS a hour that would generate. That costed me 2$/hour tried it for 1 hour only though too much for my budget to be running 24/7

I only get awesome speeds on ypool, i guess I'll stick with them for now.

Got my min PTS withdrawal at a 100 8)

Also, payout processing has already started. Since this is only a temporary solution there is no website, so while your balance/unconfirmed is updated there is no way to access your account stats or options.

Is that for ALL balances, or just those over the 5 PTS?
For now only the ones above 5 PTS. Later I might go a bit lower and set it to 2. But anything below would just waste too much PTS for transaction fees.

Oh and btw. PTS fee is now 3%.

why I Can't open the web?

Site is not online yet, the pool is online and currently connected and mining.

Try running 2 instances?

tried that it split the hash power to a total of 230-250, tried setting affinity to one cpu for each instance and had 32 instances running samething.

jhprotominer is still the fastest.

Anyone know the current difficulty for mining PTS? is it still at the difficulty it was  i think 0.000514 i think?

A mining calculator is really needed.

Got a server with 32  cores running the miner when I go to task manager only one core is at 100% and the rest are 50%.

Getting around 240 Hpm seems low for 32 cpu/cores.

Should i be gettig a higher hash rate ? CPU are AMD.

so when another block is found and if I have the same amount of shares mined in the second block my earnings will double again. As long as I keep mining and keeping my % of the total shares stable my earnings shouldn't go down correct?

So basically to keep the current earnings its a cat and mouse game, I'll have to keep adding more hash power to keep earning the same % of shares I was before total hash power increased.

Imagine a 24 hour window... everyone puts in as much hash power as they can get, and then divide all of the rewards in that window together.

The final score isn't known until the end of the 24 hour window.

Oh ok, that sounds right.

Damn block gone for nothing :(

No... ??

My output kept fluctuating between 0 earned est and an amount.  This that database query skip that you had in the previous pool?

I think it shows the stats when you mine a share.

Your PTS is going up, my total PTS is going down after I find a share.

Anyone know why?

Good job guys, adding more hash power... Will get my friends to mine in this pool looks promising.

Not sure if I'm asking the right question but how many pool shares are needed to complete a Block or I think I should be asking is; how many shares are in a block?

Thanks.

Try this pool:

http://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=636.0

Download windows miner if you got windows, open the folder and edit the .bat file by pasting your PTS wallet address instead of the address already there. save it and run the batch file. Your done and have successfully started mining on a pool.
