Stakeholder Proposals / Re: [Worker Proposal] Advertisement at 8btc
« on: February 11, 2017, 09:58:38 pm »

@fav seriously man? The guy offers to cover half of the cost with his own funds, he asks for 252,000 bts for 1 month and you ask about metrics? Come on now... :o :o ::) ::)

just because someone offers half of something does not mean it's actually worth a dime.

@tbone that's an awesome idea! brings us closer to a real landing page!

Well I think it is worth much more than a dime. Especially now with the situation to the Chinese exchanges And actually I think that 252,000 bts for 1 month ad is not a lot. How much does it worth to have ads in coinmarketcap.com ? does anyone know? Can we consider this as well?
And if you want to compare metrics consider that 5 days of svk's worker or 3 days of xeroc's worker is 250k bts (no offence to these workers- I also support both of these) so for 3-5 days of devs work I consider 1 month advertising to popular sites more than fair..

It doesn't matter if we have the best working product out there if no one knows about it...Let's put Ads everywhere please..

This worker has my full support and I wish we had many other marketing worker proposals like this one! well done @bitcrab and thank you for your generosity.

Does anyone has access to advertise bts on London tune or NY adverts for example? How much does it cost to place a small advert on tube trains for a month?
We need to start using the pool funds for marketing like this. There is no other way. No ads..No success..

how are you measuring success? what metrics can you catch?

I am always on trading mode.that is not the reason...i am really surprised that no one else has this issue so I can only conclude that you guys only trade with the official wallet and not the open ledger web wallet either you don't trade at all..i hope is the former.. :)
I am really surprised that openledger web wallet did that and I really dont get why someone would remove this..anyway i hope that when others think that their bts got lost they look at this post and don't freak out.
as @nmywn said..use the official client..except if it is indeed something to do with stealth..maybe super stealth that hides your own collaterals positions and transactions.. ;)

124
Openledger doesn't show collateral positions under account overview. It is their bug or... feature.
Use official GUI, it's safer for your funds, offers lower minimum collateral and better overview page (collateral positions included)

I used openledger webwallet since day 1 and the collateral positions were shown properly until today..I switched obviously to the official client now and everything is fine and shown as it should be...No more openledger web wallet for me from now on..

@ccedk whoever did this to openledger wallet needs to get fired mate..There is absolutely no logic not to show the collateral positions..

125
Guys.,.instead of guessing what may have happened can someone show me what happened? My account is mf-tzo..i had more than sufficient collateral and now I have no bts on my account and no open collateral positions shown. In cryptofresh my debt positions are shown. So can please someone have a look? I would assume that this may a GUI bug and the bts will appear at some point on my account once someone realizes that something is wrong and fix this but this is scar and makes me want to exit the bts ecosystem completely..so please have a look..

126
I can't see any force settlement in my history and in order to be margin called on my positions bts/usd should be 383 and bts/btc 352,000 which hasn't happened yet..so what is going on here?  :o

127
On the web wallet under my account I can no longer see the open collateral positions. Where have these gone? I have not been margin called so where are they? Why on earth would you move them to some other place other the main account overview?

Random Discussion / "Construction" token donation
« on: January 11, 2017, 07:42:59 pm »
Some time ago I have created "Construction" token as part of a true construction project that is still taking place with the intention to raise funds to support the project and repay the debt with interest. Only one investor has donated a small amount and since the target was not achieved the deal was off and this one investor got his money back with some very good interest. You can refer to this link https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,23292.15.html

Since the previous deal was off, "Construction" token is now only as a donation. I may chose, or not to reward people that want to donate via the construction token. It is exactly like brownie.pts of bytemaster (with the difference that I intend to buy them back at higher price)

Therefore, if you have some spare funds that you don't need and believe that I will make good use of these funds I receive as donation via construction token please consider buying some https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/market/CONSTRUCTION_BTS

I don't want to make any promises since this is now purely a donation token but my intention is to use the funds to either support the construction project in Ioannina city (although there is no need at the moment for any support since the project is actually moving as per schedule) or I will use them in the DEX for short selling bitassets since I am and will always be bullish on bts.

Thank you! :)

General Discussion / bitassets and tether
« on: January 07, 2017, 03:10:39 pm »
Has anyone else noticed that tether supply jumped from c$10 mil to c$15 mil in one day? wow!!! We need to do something and we need it now.. Our bitassets supply is c$300k and tether is $15 mil now..With the whole btc pump bitassets didn't increase at all..

I think we need urgently:

1) some liquidity from bts whales.Don't just leave your bts inactive..Just short sell some bitassets into existing and lock enough collateral to avoid margin calls..

2) We all need to use our dex more often

3) We need at least stop losses orders like poloniex. Can someone do a worker proposal please?

4) We need a lot of things to do as you all know but at least let's start with the above 3. It's been to many years already bitshares remain in the sidelines

General Discussion / Re: The War on Cash is Over, They Won!
« on: January 04, 2017, 01:28:13 am »
@chryspano you have described the political situation in Greece perfectly! As you said in order for Greek people to use only plastic money they will need to be HEAVILY incentivised and but I can't see how this can be done so effectively as to eliminate cash in Greece.

In any case the ban of cash is bad for our human rights but is definitely good for the rise of cryptos. People will be more incentivised with this war on cash to discover that "money" is not only "EURO" and "USD" but also btc, bitusd and biteur and all the alts out there. Maybe people will discover also that they don't need exchanges to buy crypto but they can transact over the counter between them or via decentralized exchanges, hhhmmm... bitshares DEX maybe?

General Discussion / Re: more professional price feed?
« on: December 21, 2016, 02:04:32 pm »
There are rumors that btc38 is hacked.

I have never been able to reliably get data from btc38 for anything for a very long time. Their feeds always timeout no matter how high I set the wait.

If they have been hacked that is also bad news though.

Well if they have been hacked again that is another opportunity to promote bitshares DEX though and short some btcs..

Follow My Vote / Re: The embarressing death of Follow My Vote
« on: November 16, 2016, 10:03:26 pm »
FMV was again a tool used by CNX/I3 to wrangle more cash from BTS investors... It was either dilute and pay FMV or we walk.

And then they walked...so true but it could have been worse...

Instead, we have two products (BitShares and Steem) in rock solid operation for others to build on and several other third-party projects building on the same technology.

2

In operation but not collaboration unfortunately..Both projects can do much more.
