I am in favor of air dropping to specific communities according to each dac specifics. Make sense to airdrop name shares to name coin, bitshares to nxt lotto shares to doge or black coin...

Regarding bitshares x we should consider airdrop to nxt seriously..I think they are becoming serious competitors and will soon overtake lite coin by the end of the summer. They work with bitshause and we want to work with bitshause as well...we will have to compete with nxt sooner or later head to head..

Marketing wise I am thinking that most important than air dropping is someone to make a PDF or ppt professional presentation about all bitshares where everyone can download from the website and distribute it to potential investors outside crypto..

We need to start thinking BIG! We need to start separate bitshares from bitcoin and crypto coins. We need professional presentations, with business plans, graphs, analysis that we can show to investors outside crypto who would want to invest in the new evolution of the Internet companies that operate by themselves and make a good ROI..we need to explain to investors how they will make the +5..

I can talk all day about bitshares to people and no one will ever visit the website. But I am very confident that if I can show a 10-15 pages presentation I will attract a lot of new investors with big money that will make i3 Dacs explode and we will surpass every competition..

I said it a couple of times before and I will say it again..as long as we do not separate ourselves from bitcoin we will always be in the shadow of bitcoin..

Of course all this to happen we must have the products ready and really really really friendly user... No investor outside crypto will ever invest in ags..but they will invest once it is easy and profitable..

Utopianfuture (REMBER THAT NAME!) listened to a request from the community: to have stakes tradable before release. So that any dumpers could cash out and any interested people could get in even after registrations closed.
He then gave the option for stakes be traded on the NXT AE, on MSC and on Counterparty. With a minimum of 100 people interested in any of the above listed before he'd enable trading. NXT AE was the winner.

The 1000 tokens were his estimate of how much would be needed to satisfy the communities' request. As of now 400 or so have been transferred so it seems he was ok with that estimate.

AGS could be listed in the same fashion on both Counterparty or the NXT Asset exchange. But asking I3 to allow that is probably like asking the Pope for permission to shoot a porn gig inside the Sistine Chapel.

I'll remember that name now...Luckily I bought some @18k NXT and sold @25k NXT two days afterwards...I don't think i will take this bet any time soon again...

what is the problem there? he created sock puppet accounts and claimed more NEMs? And why this is a problem? Everybody is supposed to have only 1 NEM stake? If so, how come on NXT AE people are trading more than 1 stake?

Or it is the question of morality that he was chasing sock puppet accounts and in fact he has created some?

I haven't done any research regarding NEM but I intend to do so...Do you believe it is too late now? I think I read some posts from NXT forum saying that NEM is not a threat to NXT, that they bought cheap NEM and now are selling etc..So if NXTers got first NEM stakes and are dumping now their shares I don't think there is much potential with NEM but I might be mistaken ofcourse..

Something else that might sound silly to many people is the name "NEM" is not nice. "NXT" "Next generation bla bla" is much nicer...I can't believe that any cryptocurrency, equity will survive without a nice name...

PPC is obviously a better coin than bitcoin. But how on earth they came up with the name peerpeer coin? The could have just called it p2pcoin...

Black coin also could be a nice coin. Why on earth would you call a coin "black" and stigmatize it whith racism? Same applies to "Darkcoin"...oooo dark..drugs, anonymity, illegal activities....

Some people really should pay more attention how they name their coins...

I would definitely consider it, however, something like that would not be limited to AGS shareholders. I am considering increasing the premined coins to 1% or 10,000,000 of which 4,000,000 would go to investors 3,000,000 developers and the other 3,000,000 could have some of it go to AGS shareholders.

Does this mean that the investors will get 1BTC = 400,000 coins instead of 200,000?

Just a thought...:

I understand that developers need to raise money for the development but in order to avoid the usual "premine" accusation and scam you could do 7 mil for the IPO, 0 devs, and 3 mil for donated to other communities.

You can split your IPO in 10 days for 700,000 coins distributed proportionally to the daily donations (like AGS does it). Let the investors compete for 10 days and you give the advantage for the investors that believe in you to get cheaper shares in advance. Also since you believe in your coin you will also have an incentive to participate in your IPO as well. If the market believes in your project you will end up with more than 10 BTCs from the initial investors in 10 days, you will not have to deal with any "premine" accusations.
