I just claimed some of my btsx, before i gave my wallet password i changed it, uploaded my btsx and then changed it again. Is that safe 100% I guess the system is now holding my private key so that doesn't feel great.

« on: July 23, 2014, 07:43:51 pm »
Hi
I followed the wiki instructions, put wallet type as bitcoin, entered the path. In my case

C:\Users\xxxxxx\AppData\Roaming\BitShares-PTS

entered the password for the encrypted wallet.

and pressed import wallet.

I got the following error

RPC Server Error: In method 'wallet_import_bitcoin': Db::open: Operation not permitted (13)

can anyone advise where i went wrong?

General Discussion / so many week hands?
« on: July 22, 2014, 01:52:50 pm »
I see nearly 0.5 million traded today which despite the 25% loss is still great news (for every seller there has to be a buyer) however, the volume of sellers took me by surprise.  Its there a rational explanation? coders needing to pay rent, eat, ect. Or an exchange with a bag full of something they don't understand?

Please let me know your thoughts

Apart from the explained 1% of votes, a good internet connection and continuous proximity to your hardware to ensure up time. what will a representative need. In particular :-
Type of hardware
Will software be supplied
Technical knowledge? will your average crypto miner have enough knowledge to be a representative or will more in depth coding knowledge be required?

Any other requirements i haven't mentioned?

Thats how i feel, frustrated, i know you are doing your best, i know your knowledge far out ways mine, but this is our moment. Bitusd was conceived to combat the market volatility of bitcoin, but, the recent US ruling that bitcoin is property projects bitusd to the only cripto currency that can be used as currency.

This is our chance right now, not in a month when someone develops software to automatically calculate capital gains tax the second you make a transaction but now.

I know i am shouting from the sidelines, but please reassure your fans that you understand the importance of this moment in time. The position of all players on the field is perfect for bitshares to dominate the game, don't give the competition time to regroup and counter attack.

Your faithfully, wearing my bitshares jacket, scarf and hat

I was going to add this onto another thread but the more i thought about it the more value i realized it has.

Most long standing investors in the crypto space are time limited (they have other jobs, business to run). As investors they scan as much as they can from the forums and then try to follow those projects that their experience says has most potential to make them a profit. I am one of these types of investors, we are typically older 40's and have already made money which we want to invest.

OK, so if you didn't see the relevance here it is. Every large crypto investor has bought a significant stake in NXT, Mastercoin, Bitshare's and they will in Etherium. From all thats out there they are the clear best bets. Now bitshares has a true advantage over the competition here because anyone who honers the social contract will automatically be getting these high net worth individuals invested in their DAC. If you own a part of something you will show it some interest and if you believe the proposition you will buy a greater stake.

With new ideas popping up every day vying for attention i think this is a benefit you need to put some promotional support behind.

Any one with agree?

We are loosing out on investment at the moment, i know that with certainty because i haven't invested any of my PTS or BTC since http://q39.qhor.net/ags/pts.txt has been down. Ive tried to find another one but they all seem to be incorrect.

Im sure that im not the only one who is reluctant to invest without seeing the return and doesn't have the time and or skills to find the current rate.

Please can someone from Invictus tell me/us where a correct and easy to read rate for Ags to PTS and BTS is?

44
A lot of discussion on which version 2 to back, but, even if Ethereum is better. Wont it make better economical sense to use the bitshares social contract for distribution and then start a new ethereum block for ever new DAC?

Am i missing somthing?
