Could someone help me to get the Bitshares Client to only accept certian whitelisted Node IPs, for both broadcasting and syncing?

And i mean with commands inside the client.

EDIT:Nevermind found it.

Random Discussion / Attracting some Gamers and a funny Community Event
« on: December 29, 2014, 06:39:55 am »
I would like to see Cryptocurrency Gaming Tournament.

In the Gaming Community, Tournaments are gaining more and more popularity.

Wouldn't it be awesome if this Community would set up such a Tournament?

With Prizes, Teams and Bets.

The games i play the most, Counterstrike GO and Dota 2 are played by millions and Games between high ranked well known Teams are watched by millions. (without a Tournament!)
Even unknown players/teams in Counterstrike GO who just have high ranks are watched by 200-600 people every hour or so!

In 2011, The International Dota 2 Tournament in Germany gained a shit ton of attention because of the 1.600.000 $ Price.
The Best Teams in the World where there.

Here is aweseome Movie of the Tournament :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UjZYMI1zB9s

I'm not saying that we should have a 1.6m$ Prize and it doesn't have to be hosted at a special place.  ;)
There are often Tournaments that are just hosted online.

Setting up such a event in the crypto space, would possibly gain some attention.
The Bitshares project could be a/the main sponsor by contributing to the Prize or giving a delegate position or a percentage of the Bets could be the prize. idk  :D

Maybe the paricipant pay for a ticket and the top 3 teams get the payments as the price.(I would pay 10 $ or 20 $ to participate )
And of course everything is payed in Cryptocurrency eg. BTS,BTC,BitUSD  :)

I personally would even be happy if we play with a 1000$ Prize as long as it includes my top 2 interests, Cryptocurrency and Gaming

Stakeholder Proposals / Quick question
« on: December 17, 2014, 05:05:35 pm »
I'm currently working on a delegate web gui in php.

So delegates could access their gui via browser with a pretty secure self signed ssl nginx server that will be hosted on the delgates server locally (ubuntu).

And also Gmail Alert for missed blocks and maybe some data presented in charts and everything you guys come up with. ;)
edit:And information if there is a new client version out and maybe a window for messages from bm or the bitshares team.
edit:And price feed option

Should i continue with it or is someone already working on somehting like that?

Or is it a entirely bad idea?

General Discussion / Cryptofeed.net Vote on Forum Topics
« on: October 21, 2014, 11:42:19 am »
Hey peoplez,

i made a small Website that fetches the Bitsharestalk forum topics, to let people vote on topics that they are most interested in. (Reddit style algorithm)
Topics are fetched every 5 minutes.

One vote per IP (will be changed later to accounts...because you know... bots)

Right now there are only Bitsharestalk forum topics, but i try to get every other cryptocurrency related Forum (and maybe Magazines) listed in the next couple of weeks.

http://cryptofeed.net/

edit:also when there are more Forums, there will be tabs to switch between forums and maybe languages too.

Meta / Adding the BeyondBitcoin IRC/Mumble Chat on top of the forum
« on: October 20, 2014, 02:18:14 pm »
Wouldn't it be nice to have the Mumble Chat displayed on top on the Forum site ?

JoeyD has set up a IRC Channel that can retrieve and send message from an to the beyond bitcoin chat.

And with the KiwiIRC iframe it's very easy to implement it almost everywhere.

I placed it on the Beyondbitcoinx.net site on the Mulmble page --> http://beyondbitcoinx.net/mumble/ (scroll down)

Thoughts ?

EDIT:Actually it's not a good idea to place it on top of the forum because it has to reconnect every reload.
So it has to be placed on a seperate page. (But it has to be highlighted so people can actually see it....not like the standard forum chat  :P)
But i still like the idea to give people easy access to the Mumble/irc discussions.
