Where is the port set?

You set it when you launch with the argument --p2p-port <port#>

Okay, thanks again.  I guess if you don't specify it chooses one.

The default port now is 1776, if it is used by other program, it will choose a random one, you can get it by calling

How do I create one if I am just running the Win GUI?

You can change the seed nodes in the config.json file of your data dir. After you launch once, the config.json file will be auto generated and you can modify it.

It seems that sourceforge.net have a better CDN support than github, so we now support client download from sourceforge.ne.

sourceforge also support browser the SHA1 and MD5 hash of the file by viewing details.

sourceforge.net will be used only for binary distribution, the release(including binary) will continue be first updated on Github.

Suggestions:

1. Active Delegate, be careful and make sure you are producing blocks during upgrading.
2. BACKUP YOUR WALLET USING THE COMMAND wallet_export_to_json BEFORE UPGRADING
3. New version added lots of new seed nodes, you can connect to them by delegate config.json in your data dir.

Run two nodes, build another when running current one.

Check the next block produce time before you switch different delegate nodes.

Do not forget to open and unlock for enough long time.

Here is the instruction, you can use the the utility at bitshares_toolkit/programs/utils/bts_create_key to create test keys, refer

If there is no money on your public key, or you have useless keys, you can use them and dump the private key(keep it secret yourself) for testing. I think the testnet will have a different prefix, so do not worry to mix them.

Since the chain will be reseted and we still need time to prepare for it, so we still have time to prepare a more detail instructions.

Hi, to those who interested in BTSX Testnet,

Please post your address here, which could be following addresses, make sure you have the private keys of them for testing. Just post the public address or public key

1. BTC addresses
2. PTS addresses
3. BTSX public keys

Pleas pay attention that there no value of the shares in BTSX Testnet, it would probably be reset at any time or per month. They are just for testing.

We will include the address of the testers in the genesis of the Testnet, so testers do not need to ask for testing money every time it reseted.
