You need to watch BTC38 more. There's millions of BTS dumped like they're nothing. It's crazy.

General Discussion / Re: Invictus Innovations to Return PTS Donations

...aren't the main reasons to do this because I3 no longer has any association to PTS, and they don't want to be a controlling holder of a currency they no longer support, and it offers a better distribution of PTS for AlphaBar or whoever to go ahead and try and revive?

Makes sense to me, not sure what's with all the anger and "community suspicion" etc going on here...

Actually, it doesn't look like they'll pass BitShares. The massive rise in the past couple hours was from Poloniex somehow pumping the price up to 0.045, when there are walls totaling nearly 100 BTC up to 0.025 over on BTER. Looks like the pump is already dying down back to the low 0.02 levels.

If our stakeholders think that our 20% valuation is too high, then maybe we should put it at 10%. It would still be an approximate 1000% increase in value at current market rate and thus would be massively profitable for bitshares holders.

...I personally think BitShares is worth a lot more than a measly 10% of Bitcoin's cap. I'd much rather just see BitShares destroy the competition and suck up all of Bitcoin's value the old-fashioned way -- by being the best, and completely unstoppable.

Counterparty's up to #5 in market cap...hot damn are they moving swift.

I couldn't bring myself to read all of that...but what I did read sounds incredible.

You have a keen mind, Rune.  +5%

Hm...
I should just put some amount of BTSX publicly and post the transaction done from there on publicly.

I too would like to see this. All this shorting stuff hurts my head. Just tell me what to do.  :)

No chance. Think about it, a lot of people that understand bitcoin very well do not even understand most of bitshares and are confused. The vast majority of the world population has either never heard of or has no understanding of bitcoin and its been 6 years now. What makes you think everyone is going to suddenly "get" bitshares and pour their life savings into it in only 5 years?

Hmm...which coin are you pushing?

*looks into post history*

Carry on...

Yea, and if you ctrl+f, you can find your PTS address in the list!

Can I get a share of the bounty too?

Secondly, it will take a very long time. It took Bitcoin four years to get where it is today. Unless you're the dude with 20million BTS (and are thus already rich) it's going to take a price of 50-100 dollars a BTS to get most of us rich. That would be a market cap in the trillions. To achieve that we need major worldwide adoption.

Actually, assuming BTS supply maxes out around say 3 billion total, a price of 100 dollars would require a $300 billion market cap, not trillions. But you're right, you will need to be a strong hand, and it will take time and a lot of explosive price action along the way. I'm ready for it, and can't wait. Hodl to the death.

lol @ anyone thinking that achieving at a minimum Bitcoin's market cap is all that unreasonable...

I swear some of you don't understand the mind boggling potential of all this.

Also, I consider 1 million USD to be rich. At that much money I could retire before I'm 30 and live largely off the BitUSD yield. Would probably need at least a few million to retire comfortably though... :D

General Discussion / Re: Bought at 6000 Satoshis now down to 5000ish?

Part of the reason the per BTC price is down is due to the recent BTC rally over $370. The CNY price of BTS is down a little bit, but that's just natural market movement. I say hold and be happy to be a part of something as revolutionary as BTS so early  :D

Man I wish there was a way to just burn all the PTS/DNS in this merger...ridiculously unfair that BTSers have to get diluted and deal with these nonsensical, resource-sapping coin reboots as competition...

PTSers have been made whole. Why can't they keep up their end of the bargain and bow out with dignity? Just hurting the entire ecosystem is all you're doing...

For the love of God, as teenagecheese said, at the very least change the name -- this new PTS should have nothing to do with the BitShares of old (unless you want to continue hearing questions of confusion from new investors -- "I want in on BitShares, but do I buy BTS or PTS??? What's the difference??" etc)
