There are 7,4B people on this planet, lets create a new steem clone with a total suplly of 7,4B "Steem" and give each person on earth 1 "Steem ", sounds fair! doesn't it?

Well to be fair, the "wealth inequality" of STEEM is pretty damn appalling at this point:

$              MV       level          accts    accts %     stake
$0            0           dust      2182     3.15%       0.01%
$4            0.01     newbie      60467  87.17%     0.58%
$40          0.1       user       3620    5.22%       0.56%
$400        1          superuser 2269    3.27%       2.91%
$4,000     10       hero         598     0.86%       8.31%
$40,000   100     superhero   183     0.26%      24.41%
$400,000 1,000  legend       46     0.07%      63.23%

From this, the top 1.19% of accounts (heroes, superheroes, and legends) own 95.95% of the steem power. And I know of at least one whale that's holding 3 of those "legend" accounts, and I'm sure there are others doing the same. It's apparently supposed to be getting better with new authors getting rewards, but for the most part all I've seen is the whales continuing to increase their holdings through compounding SP and by gaming the curation rewards (with bots, kickbacks, etc).

The next installment is out.

How 'bout some help keeping it in front of eyeballs?

https://steemit.com/bitshares/@Stan/never-let-them-see-you-sweat

Stan, for some reson i cannot follow up on your links

It's that @ in the link.  it gets hosed up by this forum software.   So you need to copy/paste it into your browser.

...and make "@Stan" uncapitalized, because for some reason Steemit won't recognize the link if it's not all lower-case.

Geez, what an immature community! The offer canceled. Good luck to you.

Lol if that's your attitude based on 1 poster asking some very basic questions then good riddance to you.

BTW, there's only like...20 people who even still frequent these forums. You basically need to go over to STEEM nowadays if you actually want a large sample of something resembling a "community".

This post is embarrassing for the Bts community.
Murduristic - your behavior is unbelievably childish.
Someone should delete this post and we should all try to learn from it.

I would say the defense of this guy attacking members here is what is embarrassing.

You tell me I am embarrassing you by my behavior?  I responded to him clearly in the first post, and yet he decides to continue with his slander, his remarks about "running", and anything else he is 100% ignorant about.

The second I decide to throw it back I am a bad person?

But you are entitled to your opinion.

I would defend you against this hack as well, even if you don't agree with me.

I believe you, and believe you have the best intentions. I also don't think you're out to scam and as Stan says you could be providing some excellent business development opportunities.

It's just the way the argument played out over a public forum...just kind of reflects poorly on BTS' professionalism is all. It may have been best in this case to have just ignored him and let the thread die on its own.

65
Wow, that was...intense. I generally agree with Fav here though that this entire discourse was pretty damn embarrassing. Murderistic, people are going to cry scam and hurl insults at you. This is crypto -- it's fairly standard stuff around here. But attacking back with childish insults of your own is a terrible "business development" strategy and I would say demonstrates a very poor sense of business acumen. I've seen Mark react the exact same way as you have when he was called out and I was glad not to be a part of Banx when I saw that.

...Guess I'm just a bit disappointed that these things aren't more obvious, especially when we're talking about millions (potentially billions) of people's dollars here...

Our chief expectation should be making the system more productive and useful and from there it will grow.

Slow and steady wins the race :)

Link doesn't seem to work

yeah, damn steemit links never work on this forum. you have to copy/paste the whole address into your browser :-[

Actually the issue is due to @kenCode being capitalized, which this forum does automatically. Steemit requires all addresses to be non-caps. Quite a bugger. I would just use the Steem URL shortener at http://steem.link/

Here I'll do it for ya: http://steem.link/vYxmK

Bit share been loosing since I got in. The trend has been down for a while. I would say anyone in Bts is a big contrarian probably won't go up in price until end of this year possibly later.

The thing is you really can not judge the long term trend to heavily when looking at the bitshare price history. The project underwent major alteration near the end of 2015 and this caused the fundamentals of the project to drastically alter. Given this I think it prudent to base all judgments of bitshares' future performance from the launch of bitshares 2.0 back in late 2015. From this view the project is at least larger, the price higher and the project is more well known. It will take time for the market to properly price the new fundamentals. Least that is my thought and why I buy BTS whenever I can  :)

Maybe we would have seen different results now if the 2.0 launch was done under a new token and sharedropped instead of the same one.

But then we'd end up with...BTC (BitShares Classic)

Why is it that when I refresh a post that has the same votes, the value of the rewards keeps increasing? Assume there's a post that has $1000 in rewards and 100 upvotes. Then I refresh, it still has the same 100 upvotes but then the rewards are $1001, then I do the same and it's $1002. Is it normal?

Pretty sure this is just due to the fluctuations in the 7 day average value of STEEM. When price is down a bit, you'll see the rewards slowly decrease, also.

hope you don't mind I share this post here https://steemit.com/steemit/@Akado/when-to-post-on-steemit-maximizing-exposure-and-profit-potential

Looks like the URL is case-sensitive; you need to put "@ akado" instead of @Akado for it to work. Strange. Upvoted!

Edit: looks like our @ system automatically capitalizes it to @Akado. That makes things tough...

70
very nice idea, you're not the only one buying some BTS from the revenue ;)

https://steemit.com/@ash follow me!

So during the most lucrative early adoption phase of Steemit.com rewards, you relocated STEEM topics to the forum basement, and now, that many of our Bitshares community members have missed out on this generous gift of BTS, you suddenly allow the BitShares community to know how to grow their BTS holdings by STEEMIMG.

Was this by design?

The timing?

the consensus has changed. it's now about how steem can help bitshares, not about some non related altcoin.

Exactly what kind of glowing response do you expect by calling someone 'satan Larimer'?!

If you want to be taken seriously then state the party you wish to address, and get a response from, with their proper name, and with respect.

It wasn't me that created that phrase.  I saw someone else  call him that and co-opted it because it's hilarious.

That would be the classic 2Kool4Skewl thread...lol

I'll admit a lot of this stuff goes over my head...but I can tell you and anonymint are at a whole 'nother level of genius at understanding this stuff. Wish I had a better understanding so I can know what the hell you guys are talking about and be amazed to be witnessing you juggernauts going at it in intellectual fisticuffs. Ah well, I'm amazed either way.

Good to see you around r0ach.

Great post, thank you for taking the initiative! I have upvoted and commented. Apparently commenting is important, so we should all try and throw down some quick comments with upvotes.

Please have a look at this post: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,22864.0/topicseen.html and watch for my Steemit posts in the near future. I'm on a mission to bring in new money from Steemit and need the help of everyone that can upvote.

Great start OldMan, I upvoted your post too. You're an amazing writer, seriously -- I'm always amazed by the quality of your posts around here. Exciting times ahead!

Thanks everyone!

so uh.. invest in bitshares it is! ?

Lol yea, the post's a bit over the top, but what can I say -- I'm an over the top kind of guy.   ;)

Now we just wait to see if my predictions come true... heh.

Thanks for all the support guys!
