Keyhotee / Re: Is it very slow to send a keyhotee message or mail?

Thank you bytemster.

I just have another question. is it technically and ecnomically possible to use keyhotee as twitter broadcast in a way of uncrypted message?

If you share a private key with everyone who wants to follow you it would work.

Can't I send a message unencrypted? Or jus not yet?

Since it's based on blockchain. How much is the interval of the blocks?

General Discussion / Re: Why we need Angel Shares
« on: December 17, 2013, 01:31:13 pm »
Not knowing what the bounties would be I'd like to say that I (probably) don't like the idea as I don't have much time to work for bounties... But I would always have a few minutes time to set up 10(0) miners.
Of course it's stupid to waste money into mining-heat. But at least if you're on of the "early birds" your (stupid) mining could bring you a lot more than you invest (as long as difficulty is low).
I don't see that kind of chance right now with Angelshares. (How) does the early bird profit for being faster than others?

Virtual mining is much the same as real mining. By joining early, you can get more shares with less money.

I would say I don't quite sure whether this is whole good thing to discover the unnecessity of mining. Mining used to solve the both security and money distribution problem at the same time, in a coupled way. When the money are burned, a waste it is. The money spent in mining goes nothing, and no legal and political problem, no need to audit.

After all, why would we burn the money while there's no need to do it? Does mining still worth survive?

As per my discussion tonight, the AngelShare funds should be held by members of the community via a multi-sig transaction. In essence Invictus would have to write an invoice for funds, have it approved by the community, who then can sign the transaction from the Angel address to Invictus.

Therefore if the earth was to open up and swallow Invictus, it would not matter. All the code is open source anyways, and the community would still have 98% of the funds. Just hire a new team, and hope no more strange acts of God happen.

It adds transparency backed by the blockchain.  ;D

tldr; Remove point of failure with multisig.

+1

Money should not be wasted. But money should still under the control of shareholders.

谢谢Amazon。不知道为什么,这帖我总是看到别人在引用,从没自己看到过。

之前一直被设为置顶,所以容易被忽略,现在取消置顶了。
The Ideal Mining Pool

Is PTS 2.0 in plan?

As you know, the PTS achieved half of total supply in a time so short as just one month. In the period as mining lasts, the payer of the hash power the PTS network needs is share holders, by inflation. After all are mined, it's the ones who do transaction pay the hash power instead. Hash power is expensive no matter it's come from ASIC of general processors, so we can foresee the transaction fees won't be low enough, otherwise we will be in the risk of attacking. Invitus has announced that they reserve the right to lauch a PTS 2.0 to replace the PTS in honor of PTS shares. Is there a plan for PTS with POS?

BitShares PTS / Will total supply of bts change if it replace POW with POS?
« on: December 14, 2013, 11:16:08 am »
I've seen bytemaster's paper about T-POS, and I am curious about will the bts total money supply no longer to be 21 M , instead fixed at the total amount of PTS, since the POS does not need to pay hash power of mining anymore so there will be no extra "value" imported to bts network. The genesis share holders of bts don't want their shares diluted by inflation.

If so, let's come back to the original purpose of PTS. Is it still the eventual situation at most probability, for a DAC, where new comers can only obtain shares by buying from others, to win the copycats(DACs of forked ones) in the long run? I think the period of oppotunity window must be under consideration.

The same to DomainShares, AP DAC, or even keyhotee?(btw, if T-POS is the future, does keyhotee need mining?)

Keyhotee / Re: How will Keyhotee guard the usage of private key for ID?

Good idea!

I think this idea may also apply to prove of stake, we may use a subkey for the purpose of verifying the owner of stake, this subkey is for this purpose only, cannot do transactions, so we can keep mainkey offline and safe.

I don't quite sure if this is technically possible. Sounds nice idea, too!
