Will BTC38 add muse or just for distributing PTS holders?

I've got an email from Poloniex.

Hi Clayop,

Unfortunately the wallet is having problems keeping the sync, we are already working on it but we do not have an ETA as of now.

I am sorry for the inconvenience.

Shareholders can subscribe to this link
https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/subscription

To keep up-to-date
IMO this is naïve mind. Devs and witnesses can do that but normal users and business partners don't think a github tag is an announcement.
It's just a lazy manner I think. It only needs 10 min and user-friendly mind to write short announcements and newsletters.

It doesn't take 10 minutes.. a proper well authored document that is not torn apart for being unprofessional or having all kinds of mistakes takes hours.

I'm having this problem again.

And FYI, they missed some deposited because of broken "get_account_history" API. I sent them a simple script to detect them.

Sure devs are expected to do that since they are more into those matters and have more info than us, but if it's a problem that big - just letting them know there will be a fork - why not just tell them ourselves too? The community also needs to be proactive. Sure any issues during an update that might appear (ie 1.0 to 2.0 update) should have a closer look from the devs and provide some help if necessary.

However if the problem is just informing them why can't the community do it too? Yesterday I just went to Polo and told a mod who said he would pass the info to the rest of the crew, what's the problem with that? 2m and it's done.

Yeah I already noticed polo two days ago via ticket (it took 3 min :p) But it's a matter of organizing things and services. What if they asked you where's the announcement they can read? Go and read the whole script of hangout?

https://github.com/bitshares/bitshares-2/releases/tag/2.0.160216

I'm little sick of this kind of practice...

BM said the upgrade will be Thursday only in mumble. NO pre-announcement.

Theoretical post update Tuesday. NO announcement on forum or via email.

The devs should realize that Github notification is not an announcement. We need more formal and official one, to become a successful platform.

We are in the process of notifying exchanges and posting the update in the appropriate threads.  We cannot broadcast on all channels at the same time.  Also, it is helpful to have witnesses verify the code before we notify exchanges.

That makes sense. I maybe over sensitive, but we should notify all types of customers, not only exchanges, so that we need more specific channel IMHO.

Muse/SoundDAC / Re: Yunbi problem with Muse deposit

I recommend to stop using Yunbi, since they are having deposit problems (ETH also) now. Personally, I withdraw all of my fund from Yunbi.

I always buy in when Localhost and BM dumps  [emoji14] Then the price must go up for a short time . Nice trading signal .

Also when the polo deposit wallet is temporarily down.  That way the devs cant send any there to dump.
Temporarily = over 36 hours[emoji14]

General Discussion / Re: EASY FIX to improve user experience on DEX
« on: February 16, 2016, 03:19:01 am »
It's a good idea, but I think having specialized exchange page is better, i.e. exchange.openledger.org, with pre-selected asset pairs (in this example, Openasset market and smartcoin market). If newbie want to buy bitshares, can we tell to him how to use wallet exchange in 1 min? No... we have to start with "what is IOU" first and how to find gateway and openassets and on and on... It's much easier to say, "go poloniex.com"

We have to be simple to sell our products.

I think both are important.  Don't forget, although some specialized front ends are in the works, most will not appear immediately.   And when they do appear, some will use the current wallet as is, but just re-skin it and host it on their domain.

OpenLedger is the best example.  They have the most users and they use the default wallet.  Maybe that will change.  But in the meantime we need a quick solution for a better, more intuitive UI so we can gain and keep ACTIVE users, otherwise much of the efforts are wasted.

I think we should do this immediately.  It wouldn't take a whole lot.  @svk: do you have thoughts on this?

I totally agree. I think when the new APIs added, we will have "Featured market" by volume, by the way.

I always appreciate for your great inputs.

do it  +5% +5% +5%
How would pay for it to be done?

Product first, then money. Show what you sell.

That's fine for you, I like to get in on the ground floor. Whether it's Augur or Ethereum, very early investors that took the risk are extremely happy with the results.

For future projects, I've learned to ask better questions such as:

- Will there be full transparency on how funds will be spent? if not, what will you release?
- If there's a premine, I'd request funds being released based on some type of success criteria in a smart contract?
- How often can we expect to receive updates on the project? Will you commit to 2 mumbles a month?

Many lessons learned from Peertracks, Play, Augur, Gamebet.  Speaking of Gamebet,  +5% +5% +5% +5% on the transparency.

 +5%
Transparency and communication, that's what investors want.
I want to ask all workers to provide regular updates (or at least you can show your work records like github commits) to the community, who gives you the payment.
In terms of this, I'm satisfied by xeroc, svk, and abit's works, and want to see Blocktrade's performance.

You're voted in now, but still no future plan or what have you done from the beginning date.
If you provide weekly or bi-weekly updates, you will get more support from the community.
