I don't think you need to pay the shares generated when the pool was not connected. Those PTS does not exist. And it is quite normal in the test stage.

It is not same as you keeping the block rewards. Everyone can see only a few blocks mined at that time.

Server does not calculate hash rate, that is all calculated locally from actual hashes found.

Any mining tools out there for mac?  https://github.com/donSchoe/ptsminer did not help...I made the makefile.osx not crash instantly and tracked down all the right libraries to link against (and in some cases had to link by hand...darn you berkeley-db 4.8!) but the binary for pts miner never came through...all it did was compile bitcoind.

Maybe I'm stupid (I'm sure as heck not much of a programmer), but, is there anything out there for pool mining on a mac?

FYI, I got 38-40 hpm on my I7-4770k. Also on the alpha miner.
