DAC PLAY / Re: We got scammed?
« on: March 15, 2016, 04:28:01 pm »
Scam accusations are usually too easily given in the cryptosphere. It should be quite clear that most projects will fail and that's not a scam. It's just that the business idea didn't work, project founders were incompetent, they had burn out, they invested the money on totally wrong things, etc.

From a investor point of view, that was just a bad investment. If the money is lost, it's just easiest to forget the whole thing and move on.

Disclaimer: I haven't followed DAC PLAY and I don't have any idea what they have been doing.
Failed project is different from scam. $1M is serious money. These guys should provide expense report or return money to investors or they deserve to be labelled as scam.

Completely agree. That is why the topic is a question not a statement and include fair requirements to classify what happens.

Everybody thanks. @abit @xerox We've manage to do it.

But its got me so confused.. What does dacplay have to do with cyber.fund?  I looked at it and there is no association.. they don't even appear in their team.

Since the moderators of this space are dacplay team I am guessing they were the ones that deleted it.. perhaps they didn't want people knowing they were involved? Yet, I don't even understand how they are. :)

Help me connect the dots.
No connection. Just investors as you. And I don't understand why they delete the post as you.

somebody erased my answer to you  >:(

PS that happened a couple of times the last months (never thought I get censored from bitsharestalk moderators!)

I've got on email. Thanks for your feedback. Let me copy paste your response here.

off topic (but must say)

https://cyber.fund

IS GREAT !!!

You guys have made an amazing work and I really don't know how I missed your site.
I registered today and will for sure use your investment tracker. VERY nice done !!!   +5% +5% +5%

I really think you could attract much more attention if you create an UIA here on bitshares... That would be really a catalyst, specially for me, to get some/more cyberfunds!!!   ;)

So from my part I am glad you opened this thread ... That was an eyeopener for me  :)

PS even I am not agreeing with your little bit harsh post title, I give you credit because it is obvious you are concerned for your personal and your investors best interest  +5%
Though this is offtopic that could give some weight to this topic. Strange that this has been deleted.

DAC PLAY / We got scammed?

So far 14 months pass since the end of crowdfunding. Nothing. Really nothing has been done. Moreover: Site, forum abandoned, blockchain has critical issues.
That looks like the whole BitShares community got scammed with this project.
I personally invested 3 BTC that is not so much fortunately.

As investor I require:
- Spending report 2,396.11392611 BTC in fact has been stolen, still without any explanation behind. That is ~$1 mln, holy shit.
- Neither declaration that this project has been abandoned nor clear Roadmap.
- Clear answer when blockchain sync issues will be resolved.
- Clear answer will blockchain will be switched to Graphene and if yes, so when?

If answers won't be provided I ask forum Administrators @bytemaster @fav @bitsapphire @toast and other to close this board with scam announcement and lifetime ban of people involved in this scam from this forum in order to save reputation of the community.

Also we consider delisting DacPlay from https://cyber.fund with scam notification also.
Regards, your shareholder.

They already agree on transparent dilution and pseudoanonimity (probably they forgot about terrorism agenda? LoL). Wait a bit. They would agree on more :-)

General Discussion / Re: Augur REP IOU is available on BitShares
« on: March 13, 2016, 12:09:05 pm »
and how will we be able to redeem these IOUs for the real thing once it comes out?
That is right in description of asset:
To redeem you will need to send this tokens to issuer account with Ethereum address in memo

General Discussion / Augur REP IOU is available on BitShares
« on: March 13, 2016, 10:58:30 am »
Satoshi•Fund decided to issue IOU of Augur REP as Gatecoin did, but using decentralized exchange BitShares.

1951,87 REP exist under our management.

Confirmation of ownership:

351.04 REP - stored at 0x562a8dcbbeeef7b360685d27303bd69e094accf61
380.25 REP - stored at 0x7c4401ae98f12ef6de39ae24cf9fc51f80eba16b1
1220.58 REP -

There are 3 reasons why we want to sell some of our REPs:

1. Huge demand for Augur's REP and thus overvaluation on Gatecoin. https://www.reddit.com/r/reptrader
2. We want fix some at current valuation
3. We really want to test out BitShares as a platform on a real useful use case.

Please, ask questions.

Hey there,

good to have you on board and your are doing a great job!
I would recommend to take a look into https://github.com/cryptonomex/graphene-ui/tree/master/dl
this directory contains quite a nice amount of coffeescript and es6 code that deals with the bts blockchain.

There is also a python library https://github.com/xeroc/python-graphenelib
and a lot of documentation about the API of BitShares and how to use it:
http://docs.bitshares.org/api

It's late over here and I would leave you with these for now .. If you have more questions, don't hesitate to drop me a line either here or in slack.
@besson I'd like to extend a question!
AFAIK BitShares node require 32GB RAM. Such DigitalOcean instance cost $320 monthly. It's quite expensive for our small project to maintain such node just for checking BTS balances (our overall server costs now about $250). @besson @xerox Is there any possibility to use publicly available nodes or some centralized APIs now? Because if not though necessary functional concerning BitShares will be implement in a Quantum library it will not be used in production on https://cyber.fund and BitShares will be the only without support that is literally bad.

General Discussion / Support of Brew Cask
« on: January 10, 2016, 12:13:25 am »
Just want to put it here.
That is very convenient for OS X users to install and update apps using brew. Ethereum supports this, but BitShares not :-(

Technical Support / Re: I need some help with recovering

As long as they were claimed by the account from 0.9.x you're fine. Just create a new wallet and import the wif key again.
Thanks. That works...But still if I try to import my brainkey accounts are missing. How can I get brainkey that works for all my accounts?

Looks strange. Maybe the missing accounts were created in another wallet, otherwise it should be able to restore from the brain key. Could you post your account names here, or PM me? The missing accounts, and the ones not missing.
Sure. Account that is ok - satoshifund, missing accounts are cyberfund and hipster

One more question. When could I claim this vested balance?

So, (1) the missing accounts are created in 2.0, (2) you have brain keys of them, (3) your funds are claimed into these accounts. Right? Imo you should be able to import if you have correct brain keys.
(1) The missing accounts are created in 2.0
(2) I thought that I have brain keys of them, but it seems that somehow 2 accounts was missed
(3) Yes they were claimed

If your missing accounts are rollovers from BTS0.9.x you can just reimport the private keys. If you don't have the keys you can fire up the 0.9.x client, open your wallet and get they keys. The chain does not need to be sync'd to do this.

Thanks, but funds have been claimed...
