General Discussion / Re: Supported assets in future

I would love to see both IOTA and SIAcoin on Bitshares DEX; but those are decent coins that I wouldn't want to short (even against the almighty BTS).

when you short sell bitUSD, you place your account in debt for that amount of bitUSD.

It's the fundamental difference between selling something you own, and selling something you've borrowed; if you have a concept of short selling at all; voila.

it's possible. I believe many new coins, including ERC20 tokens are impending as smart coins, but there are also many 3rd party OpenLedger type listings for many ERC20 tokens.

General Discussion / Re: Bitshares Trading Bots

After a regrettable year of absence, I'm now bashing my head against StakeMachine again: https://github.com/xeroc/stakemachine/issues/15

LiqBot handles collateral nicely but fails to create any orders.

There's nothing but the trust of your custodians to prevent your UIA trading at a discount to NAV.

It seems much has changed with StakeMachine.

And OpenSSL compatibility is a pain point presently.

The New York Post wrote about Bitshares, on the front page. They called it 'defunct' which I thought was libellous. The price, volume etc. is up about 10x from then..

Go Account -> Advanced Features -> Permissions.

There you have Active, Owner, and Memo permissions, with at least one key pair for each. Given your wallet password, you should be able to display your Private Key corresponding to at least one given Pubic Key/Address.

It is those keys you need to keep secure, but the best way to do this is with a simple exported .bin backup of your wallet, which will keep an encrypted store of all the keys in your wallet, encrypted with your usual wallet password.

Bellevich makes a startling good point.  +5%

I'm very willing to do my small part to help but have nil experience with wiki dealings.

General Discussion / Re: more professional price feed?

What are the witnesses currently using/doing for their BitBTC price feed? I'd like to suggest they use that "Code" towards a feed for BitETH Smartcoin and other top alts.

Anyone know?

Same page much.

I'm back on the case with StakeMachine. I'll let you know when I come up with a solution to your specific problem.
