Here is the Reddit:

http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/2iw532/bitshares_music_peertracks/

Here is the bitcointalk. (I put it under "alternate cryptocurrencies, is that good?)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=819163.new#new

You will learn this soon enough, but they just LOVE developer with 2 posts on bitcointalk.org....

LOL I know right. I was just thinking the exact same while posting it. Oh damn, here we go.

The overall mode is positive.  We have a good start.   :)

Good stuff @trytinysmart.

I noticed that the data source is from blockchain.info's history data API.  The timestamp it uses is the time transaction is made instead of the time the block is produced which includes the transactions.  For those transactions made close to the end of the day may be included in the block that is produced the next day.  Therefore the totals and the ratio could be slightly different from the official calculation.  But as for a quick ticker to know what the progress is, this is good enough.  I think you might want to add this to your README to prevent confusion.

If you need, I can provide you a data source from agsexplorer.com which corrects that tx timestamp vs block timestamp issue.

How is the official calculation?  Is it upon one confirmation?

why not like peertracks?

itunes and amazon are big players and taking huge cut of the margin for the big music labels. as a music label more competition will be good to increase the profit for them and to reduce the power of each distribution channel.

Well, I think itunes, amazon and big music industry players would not like peertracks.  Why would they if peertracks is going to take away their businesses?  The artists and consumers would love it though.  ;)

I think sooner or later, the concept of DAC would be written in a case law. :P

If a person sells shares in a DAC without regulation,is it illegal? (regarding the security act)

The result would be interesting . "United States V BitsharesX"  .

...

I think it is going to be more of "The World VS Crypto".  Many countries outside USA are looking towards it as the leader when it comes to regulations for bitcoin and other crypto.  I am sure their securities regulators are watching the SEC and FinCen closely.

Guys, ABL is not the enemy...

+1

Ags is what it is.  If regulators decide it is a security then like sdice, we may have to pay $50k fine.   Guess what: we have already paid that much in lawyer fees trying to maintain compliance.

No one is going to jail as no harm has been done.  No fraud.  At most a disagreement over interpretation of the law which we worked hard to comply with.

Both sides need to take responsibility for poor Internet behavior.  Adam has always welcomed me on his show.

Thanks for the information.

I am relieved to know that we are talking about a if-worst-case fine here (no jail thinggy) and an amount seems manageable.  Everyone involved are working hard here.  It is good to know that these efforts are protected by lawyers who are ensuring compliance.  +5%

I merged my feeds from the delegates pricefeed script with the bot and made some slight further modifications

Sources: https://github.com/xeroc/btsx_bots (USE WITH CAUTION - COMES WITH _A_B_S_O_L_U_T_L_Y_ NO WARRANTY what so ever)

changes:
+ fetches from BTER, BTC38, poloniex, bittrex
+ fetched prices for the other assets from yahoo (except WTI)
+ fetched volumes where possible (the crypto exchanges)
+ bots can now build averages, weighted averaged, median, or any other method based on the data available from all exchanges
+ Object: exchanges .. contains all results from polling and can be used in the bot
+ (almost) no modifications to the market maker bot (except that it has to build an 'average' of some kind from all available prices, and some variable renaming)
+ this bot should (in theory) be able to be market maker for GLD,CNY, and all other assets ... (do not use with 'real' money, unless you checked and rechecked everything)

Have fun ..

Disclaimer: I am currently _not_ yet running it!
Disclaimer 2: I am _not_ a python coder! Expect the worst!

//EDIT: I just merged Nathan's changes into the bot .. now multiple orders/cancels can be executes simultaneously .. at least within one bot ..

Thanks for the wonderful work. I am tempted to try it.

"do not use with 'real' money"

Hmm..  I wonder how to use it with minimal risks while trying it out.  How do I do it without 'real' money?

I currently just have no time for that as I need to finish my current work project (PhD thesis)

You perfect the art of structured procrastination xeroc :)

Haha..  this is a good gentle reminder to stop procrastinating. xerox, you can do it!  ;)

Thank you for this.  This article points out the unbounded opportunities opening up for entrepreneurs everywhere.  Since we obviously can't (and shouldn't) do everything ourselves, we hope others will seize the initiative and build on some of these ideas.

We may know a lot about the core technology, but that's not what is required here.  What is needed here is domain-specific knowledge.  This is where opportunities for many more creative people will lie.  Pick an enterprise you know something about and get started!

Thanks for the reply.  yangsbo and the Chinese community are eagerly waiting to hear your views.  I will convey your reply (and others' in a summarised way) to them.  My Chinese is at a basic level. It may take awhile to translate.  :)
