I trimmed my Bitshares 1 keys and imported them successfully using cli. All my accounts show up in cli with balances. Now I go to GUI, but no accounts show up there. I am shown a menu to import or create wallet.. What should I do?
The GUI is independent from the cli wallet.

You can import the same keys in the GUI to use your accounts there as well.

I tried importing the same shortened key file using gui, but get this error.
"Key import error: Error: Cannot find module "worker!workers/AesWorker"
https://www.dropbox.com/s/08lfcvjgcgshdvw/key-import-error.png?dl=0

I also tried restoring a Bitshares 2 backup file I created with cli. But this too gets an error. Says file is wrong format..

Technical Support / Re: cli command for transaction history

I know I should have a transaction history as I made several successful transfers between my own accounts, but no history shows up..

unlocked >>> get_account_history bitcoiners 10
get_account_history bitcoiners 10

unlocked >>>

It isn't a CLI wallet issue, you have not history nor balance here:  https://bitshares.openledger.info/#/account/bitcoiners

Yes, I am having troubles with my wallet as my balance and accounts do not show up in the gui, even though they show up in cli wallet. However I made several successful transfers between my own accounts using cli transfer command ( balances changed correctly after transfer), but no history shows up in cli...

Code: [Select]
unlocked >>> list_account_balances bitcoiners
list_account_balances bitcoiners
14697.01937 BTS
0.00000777 BTC
0.0265 USD

I tried another cli transfer and it went through, but no history record..

Code: [Select]
unlocked >>> list_account_balances bits
list_account_balances bits
1.36840 BTS
0.0027 USD

unlocked >>> transfer bitcoiners bits 14 BTS "test3" true

Code: [Select]
unlocked >>> list_account_balances bits
list_account_balances bits
15.36840 BTS
0.0027 USD

unlocked >>> get_account_history bitcoiners 10
get_account_history bitcoiners 10

unlocked >>> get_account_history bits 10

Hi,
I imported my keys using cli commands and balances for my accounts show up in cli, but when I open gui and reload the page, it is still showing a spinning icon and says loading balance claims, no accounts show up in the gui.

You probably have a big json file with lots of keys, you could try this: https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php/topic,19390

It is too late to trim keys out, as I already imported them all. The problem is my gui still does not show accounts or balances, even though cli wallet shows them..

There's a huge process looking up balances after importing keys which also depends on the number of keys. I'd suggest just deleting that wallet, filtering the keys in your json, then reimporting into a fresh wallet. Are you using a hosted wallet, light client or local wallet?

Normal advice about backups apply of course, but that's what I just did myself at least.

Where is the new wallet file in Bitshares 2?  I compiled a local wallet on a linux machine.

Still having problem getting my bitshares keys imported.

My import has been going on for over 48 hours now.. it just keeps spinning and says loading balance claims.
There is seems to be no problem with syncing blockchain or any other problems..

How long can it take???

What directory are wallet files in bitshares 2?

I am having troubles importing my Bitshares 1 wallet.
UI has been showing: loading balance claims for many hours and no balance or accounts show up...

I had a similar problem on my old computer. UI had "blockchain out of synch" message all the time it was open.
My newer computer was in sync and loaded balances with no problem.

Also, it was mentioned that a large number of keys to import might take some time.

My UI has no sync problems. How long can an import take? It has been 7-8 hours..
This is a nearly new pc.

Would not mind some BROWNIE.PTS :)
I have been quite active in the past 2 years (except last few months) promoting Bitshares and participating in forum discussions, spreading information about Bitshares to many people and helping new users get started.
