Is the fork date/bockno decided upon?

Hey Reorder

I can't get the linux GPU version of PTS-miner to run on my machine, no problem with the cpu miner...

This is what i get

Can you help me?

Greetings
Probably your system does not have support for 32-bit binaries at all. You can use the python source as is instead (https://github.com/reorder/pts-1gh). It requires python 2.7 and pyopencl.

BitShares PTS / Re: interactive mode
« on: April 03, 2014, 05:24:20 pm »
Hello,

Sorry for not going through 33 pages of replys, so if the question is already asked...

Are there plans to make a interactive mode/setting? Because that would something really nice to have.

Greets,

Ignotus
Sorry, there are no plans for that currently. However, you can use AMD/card vendor tools to set fans and clocks, and the miner does not have any settings related to its workflow.

no thats not working :'(
What error message do you get?

I'll try, but first anyone what am i doing wrong please.

MemoryCoin / Re: [ANN] MMC.1GH.COM - GPU mining, CPU mining ★

Does memory size on the gpu card make a huge difference? Say 3GB to 6GB? Would that be a noticable difference in hpm?
Anything above 2G does not make a difference.

Started mining the other day on my Haswell E3-1230. Wanted to throw in a gpu to the mix. At 100%GPU I was having some major issues. You see, this isn't a really quality card (Power Cooler 7850)...but when it did mine I got 7-8 hash. My cpu mined like a beast with no errors (9hash @ 7 threads). This is a workstation that is used as  basic PC most of the time. So when I added the 7850, I took it down to 6 threads...still 9hpm. When I increased power in catalyst by 10% and decreased the clocks to 800/1150 and set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT=80, I got less crashes, getting 7.5hpm. Playing video or doing anything java script crashes the driver. Is this normal? I'm running catalyst 13.12, should I get an older driver? Is it a driver or hardware failure? I have run the reg file every time the crash happens.
Yes, this is quite normal: the coin algorithm is real hard on GPU. For the reg file, it is sufficient to run it just once, the system does not override the settings then.

What am I doing wrong?  :(

It was rather related to a bug on the pool side. It is now fixed, please try again.

ty.. did what u wrote... now i get error..

It looks like your python version is older than 2.7. Do you run Debian 6 or older (in wheezy 2.7 is the default)? In this case you could try setting up 2.7 according to this howto: http://www.stylesen.org/python_27_debian_squeeze_60. However, this would also require to resetup pyopencl with pip instead of apt-get.

Even if I make a binary executable, it would still have dependencies on libc (this is how python-to-binary programs work), and it would be tethered to specific distributions then.

Why i can't find 32bit GPU miner for Linux? I can't find it for MMC too, and there is no source to compile from?
It is opensource now: https://github.com/reorder/pts-1gh
You need python 2.7 with pyopencl module to run it.

Can't do it.. Im Linux newbie.. :(
There is no chance to get precompiled 32BIT Debian Linux versions of miner for PTS and MMC?
Well it makes too little a sense, but you can just do this:
Quote
sudo apt-get install git python-pyopencl
git clone https://github.com/reorder/pts-1gh
cd pts-1gh
./miner.py

BitShares PTS / Re: PTS Withdrawl from BTER not arriving in wallet!
« on: February 28, 2014, 04:51:54 pm »
however it is probably more accurate to believe that there is a "run" on PTS at these exchanges and they simply do not have the coin in reserve, which if true is really a problem...at least for today.

I think that too.
Probably because almost every one is trying to get PTS to their wallets, bter is starving for PTS.

But how they can do transactions to our wallets (and have the TxID) with out having the PTS?,  If I try to do a transaction from a wallet with 0 funds, the wallet program don't even allow try it.
They do not need transactions, they will just claim BTS for all PTS on exchange (in their own wallet) and distribute it among PTS balance holders as coins on balance, not as real coins. Apparently you will then be able to withdraw BTS to your local wallet or leave it on the exchange.

That would be fine if the PTS was in my account on BTER, but I withdrew and received confirmation through a TxID from BTER, however there is no sign of it in my PTS wallet. So, no PTS balance in BTER and no PTS in my local wallet. Now, I can not even see my PTS withdraw history on BTER as they have suspended PTS trading. BTER has not responded to my emails yet.
And the transaction is not on the blockchain too? Can you find it in blockexplorer?

reorder:

Any plans on a faster miner for these last few days?  Some of the other miners are incredibly fast but do not work with 1gh pool.

Thanks
Sorry, got no time at all to reimplement this.. And NaN apparently would not move host/port to commandline parameters because we do not support the hidden developer fee feature of the protocol :) However, I will opensource the miner tomorrow so it can possibly be used for noirshares etc.
