But 3 days ago, I think I got almost 4 PTS with my 7k CPM... Today only 2.7 :O  :'( :'(
On Jan 31 (pool time) the pool got some luck and found 18 blocks, today only 14. At numbers this low the variance is high..

47
Any ideas why the find rate has been so poor the last few days ?
I might say, it matches the pool hashrate almost precisely: for the last 6 days (Jan 29 to Feb 3), the estimate is 13.4 blocks / day and the total number of found blocks is 79.

I started the pool because of my sympathy to algorithm of memorycoin.
but the danger of extinction of coin is big because of too high concentration of the network hashrate on the one pool. if the system is compromised, there is not much faith in a coin and no big interest on buying it. This also can be one of the reasons why memorycoin is not accepted on the stock exchanges. At the moment the price falls, as well as difficulty of mining, minus 30% for 2 weeks means leakage on miners..

The same happened to bitcoin when ghashio almost closed to 51%, the pool cut down its power for itself.
I'd suggest that you educate yourself about 51% attack actually: http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/658/what-can-an-attacker-with-51-of-hash-power-do

Or are you well aware and just spreading FUD? :)

The new 1.4 miner is acting strange on Linux. Old version worked fine for days and days. The new one will sometimes go a day, sometimes just a few hours. It ends up looking like this...

Total CPM (15m) 0.00 HPM (15m) 0.00 | CPM 646.06 HPM 189.66 | A/R 2118/3 (70600.00% rej)
Worker 0-0 GeForce GTX 770 CPM (15m) 0.00 HPM (15m) 0.00 | CPM 645.51 HPM 189.50 | A/R 2118/3 (70600.00% rej)

Seems like a bug of some sort.
Looks like a hanged connection. I will put a watchdog in the next version.

too many idiotts on the pool, no profit. :o
That's not how it works. We need as many miners as we can get to solve as many blocks as possible. The more miners, the better that chance, it's a proportional payout of the work performed. Sure your payout might be smaller, but you would be getting more of them.
the point is you can only mine here with a (more) profitable gpu in comparison to scrypt
HD6990 - it makes 2540 cpm here  / 940 kH/s with scrypt / o.k. here
R9 290X - it makes 1350 cpm here / 850 kH/s with scypt / not o.k. here

BUT with the fast open-cl-miner my R9 290X makes 2530 cpm - this is o.k., but only at the beeeeeer-pool

hope NaN will implement other pool-support

when you mine at a smaller pool the luck-factor becomes bigger in comparison to mining at a greater pool(s)
Seems like that miner already has ypool support.

Would rather see 1gh supported before ypool to spread the pools out more... I've got to say the layout of the 1gh website is the primary reason I was mining here... it really is well done and informative to what you want to see... beeeeer.org went the "just the minimum" route for I'm assuming efficiency but man sometimes you just claw your eyeballs out...

I guess 1gh was not added for now because it "does not implement the latest xpt-protocol"... I was excited when 1gh added stratum... guess I will have to read up on the differences between all these protocols...
Well, the pool does support xpt protocol: jhProtominer and xptMiner work with it just fine. We do not support the 'developer fee' part, but there are workarounds: beer pool does not have it at all.

We had a huge number of getwork connections that started to cause other connections to be closed. This is mitigated now, but we recommend to upgrade getwork miner to anyone who still runs it.

53
Are there any pool issues? I seem to be getting a lot of Failure and Reconnect messages.
Everything looks good on our side. Is it with stratum miner or old getwork one?

Edit: one of XPT ports really had an unusually high rate of reconnects, but looks like it was only you: other connections to that port stayed alive. However, reconnects have stopped now.

Hi abc123!
Does your miner support pts.1gh.com? they added xpt protocol.
Not supported now, it will prompt: "Invalid share, Reason: unknown-work" after a short run at pts.1gh.com.
Which version of jhProtominer did you take as a base for your miner? Or, about what date did you check it out from github?
Based on jhProtominer v0.1e, 2013-11-23.
I have built jhProtominer github commit from 2013-11-23 (bc32c370) and it appears to work just fine. Did all shares from your miner get rejected when you were testing or only some?

Actually, 'unknown-work' is kind of stale share and there normally cannot be more than one in a row.

"pts-miner_d0.bat"
pts-miner.exe "my_pts_address" -d 0
pause

i started this file two times - this "-d 0" comes from my scrypt-mining-times and it works fine with your miner ;)
so i had two cmd-windows with running each at the half hashrate (660 cpm + 670 cpm)
by the way - HOW do i start multiple instances correctly?
Well, my miner does not understand '-d 0' at all, it should rather be started as 'pts-miner.exe YOUR-ADDRESS 0-0' if you want it to work only on the first card of first OpenCL 'platform' in the system. Would you please create a bat file with this string and start it once, check the hashrate, then start it again without closing the first window and see if your total hashrate has improved?
1 instance: 1368 cpm
2 instances: 743 + 650 = 1393 cpm
only a minimum increase of total hashrate
by the way: when the miner is startet at my system it shows the Hawaii-GPU, but only with 3 GB - so far i know is this card with 4 GB...
Apparently, vectorized code works better on Hawaii, then.. Well, let us see if the developer is willing to support other pools.

1.4-gpu-miner with R9 290X: 1320 cpm
it's o.k., but only slightly better then my HD6990 per gpu

Edit: <0.1 % stale(s) - fantastic stratum-result!
@reorder please contact the developer NaN https://bitsharestalk.org/index.php?topic=2598.30 to support your pool with his miner, because he has a great AMD-GPU-miner for the newer cards e.g. R9 290X with more then doubled hashrate!
the 1.9 % developer-fee is not the point when doubling the cpm...
may be you can work together with the stratum-support for the miner...
Hmm, have you tried running two instances of 1GH miner on a 290X? Seems like this is how the top performance is achieved in that miner too.
i am no expert - so i startet the bat-file (with "-d 0") two times regarding this first 290X - done the same with the two other 290X - so i had 6 x cmd-window
but there was no hashrate-improvement: 0.5 + 0.5 = 1
is this "running-two-instances" correctly done by me?
I rather meant 1GH miner (it does not have options like '-d 0'), does it perform better on 290X when multiple instances are started?

Is it possible to use Stratum with yam or is that just built into pts-miner.exe? I tried the listed Stratum ports on the main pool page, but it did not connect. Are we supposed to use the Stratum Proxy? (the one from slush) Thanks. Just trying to cut down on the bandwidth for both of us. ;)
No, yam uses a different protocol, you cannot use it on stratum ports. There is actually no reason to: its own protocol is tight on bandwidth too. You do not need stratum proxy and it would not work anyway as the protocol is modified for PTS, only pts-miner can work with it on the moment.
